This thread is a response to the solo players should not be allowed to join CW thread

http://mwomercs.com/...munity-warfare/

Ok ok I get it

A lot of people don’t like solo players and you want us to

Stay out of CW

I disagree with the attitude and the method

I personally welcome solo players
It takes time for people to learn but if you give them a chance you can be surprised what they can do

You can play in CW with me anytime you want, it's an open house as far as I'm concerned and you won't see me say anything otherwise.

Come on in the waters lovely.

Lets start with the bleeding lump of colon cancer that made the OP for the following thread, and go from there.

You need to read the whole thread, he later states that it is players that have no interest in working as part of a team that "should stay out of CW".

Personally i drop solo in CW regularly, it doesn't stop me from behaving as a team player but I can see how this can be misconstrued. As I said to Dave, anyone is welcome to drop with me as long as we're their to have fun and play the game.

That thread is like someone running their finger nails over an old chalk board

I remember when I first started one guy telling me to change my mouse sensitivity
So I could stay on target

I had no idea, I had never played an on line game before

He was simple to the point and willing to help

I just joined a unit WBK but most of my CW games are solo. I don't understand this obsession with uber gaming. CW has a huge learning curve using trial mechs or Omnis doesn't make it easier.

I play CW and MWO to have fun and expand my stable of Clan-Tech. When I make 250K+ C-Bills per day that is icing on the cake. GLHFHH

Think of CW as end game. Trials and the like won't cut it, you'll have to bring some decently armed mechs x4.

To be fair it is a HUGE thread now, but it is good to know that at least SOME people get what I was TRYING saying (in spite of the fact that I am horrible with written communication). You have warmed my heart xX PUG Xx!!!

To be clear to the OP, as long as you realize that you are always part of a team, play like you are part of a team, and DON'T take trial mechs, you are welcome in any drop I am a part of !!!! (of course that means you are no longer a 'solo' player....even if you are dropping alone)

What confuses me is that people take guys like that Armando dip seriously....

He's just a guy who thinks his way is the only way, and everyone should play like him. He then pretends it's for the good of the players, etc, when it's all really just his ego and controlling nature.

Why on earth do you even give him the time of day? Do what you want to do, this game was designed to allow you access to CW as a solo, in whatever 4 mechs you can bring within tonnage.

Sure, you might suck, but who cares? It's the second beta of CW, no one gives a rat's ass, have fun.

Guys like Armando? In real life they get headbutted and thrown in a closet at the party because everyone is tired of listening to their crap.

I'm fully aware that you may in fact be a decent player with good ideas, and that in your own mind you're doing good.

That doesn't change the fact that you have the social skills of a potato and manage to insult and piss off anyone reading anything you write. CW is crappy enough without self-appointed defenders like yourself making it look even worse.
You remind me of the EVE online elite, which are generally not high quality human beings, but they sure think they are....

I know Armando, played with this guy quite a while now. He's a passionate guy that's for sure. There are just so many threads why "cw sucks' why solo have no chance, it's not fair, etc etc. In that thread Armando brings up your harsh realization this isn't a solo game. The people that are struggling don't have this mindset in mind. Thus they are attacking just like yourself, without seeing the bigger point. However I'll not derail the thread, as your comment and my reply should be in that thread.

At OP. NO one is telling you to stay out of CW. I've dropped with you before you are not the pilot Armando is referring to he's referring to these me first forget about the team oriented players.

@ Kodyn

Naw brother, I am just some scrub who fancies myself as being 'l33t' who has no real clue about what MWO is, or how to make it better. No one who reads anything I post will ever learn anything and everyone with half a brain who reads anything I have to post will be insulted and angry. I am the lowest of the low!

He's not entirely wrong. It's been pretty clear reading that thread (and I have read the whole thing) that you spent too much time going for shock/cleverness points and not enough time making an honest attempt to be understood (if that's what you wanted, at least).

It feels like you only figured out what your core point was about halfway through (the thread, not the first post) and then decided that anyone who didn't get it right away is totes stupid.

Plus you screwed up a math slam, and I hate it when people screw up math slams.

Fair enough.

Since you have read the whole thread let me ask you a few questions...

Do you agree or disagree that every match that anyone can queue for is 12 real life players against 12 real life players?

Do you agree or disagree that if someone thinks they are dropping solo, acts like they are dropping solo, tells themselves and anyone who will listen they are dropping solo, that they are a 'solo player'?

Do you agree or disagree that the option of dropping in trial mechs makes community warfare less enjoyable for the teammates and enemies of the the players that chooses to do so?

This is what I mean when I talk about going for cleverness points.

I could ask you if you agree or disagree that the sky is blue. In fact, let's do that.

Do you agree or disagree that the sky is blue?

Be forewarned however, that if you disagree I'll call you an idiot because anyone who looks up can tell that the sky is obviously blue.

Oh, but if you agree, I'll call you an idiot because the sky itself is optically thin at visible wavelengths and the blue color we see is a result of wavelength-dependent elastic scattering of light from the sun on the particles that make up the atmosphere.

I am shocked....SHOCKED...that you are incapable of giving an honest answer to honest questions. Thank you for deflecting, now people can see who and what you are clearly...enjoy life under the bridge.

I think Vlad gets my point.

Even if you aren't wrong Armando, and I never said you were, bear in mind(and I did read the thread), it's the way you talk to people.

It's people like you that hurt this game moving forward as much as any mistakes the devs make. I know this community has a lot of negativity and dark spots, and I accept that. I don't have to like it or be nice about it though when I see it.

At the moment CW is broken, as a mode itself, and nothing that players do or don't do will change that. PGI needs to finish work on it, add the rest of the content, and make it worth peoples' time. So for right now, I think it's fair for everyone and anyone to approach it and treat it however they want. If they want to bring LRMs, queue as a solo, etc...whatever. It's Beta.2.

No one loses anything, and those guys are learning. If they cost their team, well oh well, the team could have made the same decisions that the solo pug could have, and been part of a unit that drops only in 12s as well. And since this is a fairly pointless beta, everyone has every right to derp it up and run whatever builds or style they choose. Making mistakes is how people learn, and I for one think that everyone learning now, while it doesn't matter, is the right time for it.
