Why can't people just be honest and discuss topics as they are without having to twist reality and distort facts to pretend to have a point?

OP said he wants to name and shame someone doing worse than him publicly. Pretty clearly even. That's waving epeen, not checking facts. Looking at the poll atm OP will get his chance to check facts so this topic is in fact just to boost his ego or to humiliate the other guy. Simple as that.

This only when the pool is poor and valves get open.

In these first 2 days, I can say I'm rather satified of the new system, because 90% of the time I'm not seeing steering wheels pilots, no more trial mechs, and (quite) everybody in the team tries to do something good in the match.
That is 90% of matches I met, or had the sensation to meet, players around my level and I have no idea about my tier.
But not tier1 for sure!

Looking at who is on your team, does NOTHING, unless you are a tier 5, in which case there are certain names you will never see, (or the other way around if it matters)

I get people want to see their own rankings. What I hate is when people want to shove it in other people's faces and use it to justify discrediting others or elevating their own opinions and ideas. (last part not directed at you RW) Man, this whole thing has me razzled, and it isn't even here yet! I better just start ignoring these threads for my own sanity. Leave the epeen measuring club to their own demented pass times.

Actually Tier 1 won't play against Tiers 4 or 5. Tier 4 is new player Tier. Only Tiers 2 and 3 can play against every other Tier.

That's not what it says in the Patch Notes. It says "A Tier 1 player will never play against a Tier 4 or Tier 5 player".

T1 also does not mean never having a bad match at all. So until you find a T1 claimer constantly failing your claims are invalid.

The thing for me, I know I'm not Tier 1, I rarely run the meta, yet in the group Queue, We've gone against Tier 1 groups. How far down do they match up against do we know? I would put myself in Tier 3 or lower Tier 3 but then again, I'll get my share of games where I barely do damage either due to it being a roll or just not getting to the fight quick enough. I'd be curious to know what the actual formula is.

That won't help them stay in T1; they'd need to shoot and kill the other team to gain Match Score (damage, components, flanking, etc...) to keep even.


Running and Hiding means less score, which means worse performance, which means losing PSR anyways.

runnign and hiding was for K/D braggers PSR will require you to stay active and efficient

I don't think you understand what makes good players, just that. I highly doubt players that are hiding or "abusing" things to boost their rating are actually rated high on the tiers. Unless that the abuse is of meta builds or aggression balanced with proactive positioning and good gunnery.

at this point the PSR may help. Because winning is essential to rank up, and scoring well is too. It may make people less of egoists andmore winning driven which includes the necessary teamplay. Gimping your team for egoistic reaosns will in best case constantly keep your level and only raise if you do exceptional well. So hiding for tier stroking will not be a good options, its like defending in CW, sooner or later you lose much wiht a lwo chance of gaining something
