Main problem:

All these fancy effects we currently have, can be already turned off. I turned most graphic details to low, some to medium, only textures to high. Because it gives me a visual advantage about people that turn everything on.

Someone remember quake 3? Anyone competetive players played this on customized low graphic setting to no be distracted.

Before they don't work on this problematic, all these fancy graphic effects are useless.

I have two machines...

1. A gaming laptop which is currently down due to hardware issues. When it was running right, it could do most settings at high.
CPU: i7-2760QM
RAM: 12GB
HDD/SSD: Dual 750GB HDD
VIDEO CARD: GTX 570m
MONITOR: 15.6"
DIRECTX VERSION SUPPORTED: DX11

2. An older desktop which I now have to use. It's not awful but it gets the job done. I can't afford a whole new rig with a new i7 and dual top of the line video cards. This is a free to play game. It's not meant to cater to just the high end, otherwise this game will die.
CPU: first gen i3
RAM: 8GB
HDD/SSD: 1TB HDD
VIDEO CARD: GTX 650 clone (runs fine)
MONITOR: 20" but only supports 720p
DIRECTX VERSION SUPPORTED: DX11

The game really needs the framerate boost that DX12 offers, but they don't have the time to do it. It's bad either way.

Needs? I'm getting 100+ frames a second at max detail (when I have it set that high other than post processing because that is blurry and pointless). My 3770k + 670 GTX is happy as it is right now.

Butter smooth framerate is all I care about. I still play System Shock 1.

Let the vocal minority tell PGI their specs. We all know that the majority is still playing with their good old Amigas. :D

I would much rather they put attention into fixing core gameplay issues rather than the beautification of the game.

Great story! We consider this one of the games issues, it's ok that you do not.

Sure; I get 60 FPS on max settings on new Forest, and 80-100 on everything else, 680 GTX, 3570k. But my point isn't that my framerate is bad, it's that the bad framerates of others are causing PGI to not implement features that should be in the game. Inverse Kinematics is a good example- after enough pestering, we found out that the reason for its removal was not netcode, but performance- and that's one of those things that has to be on for everyone because otherwise people will see mechs in different positions depending on whether or not they have IK on. If the framerates were a little better, then we'd have mechs that didn't float above the ground when they're on hills again. I personally could run IK in this game just fine, but because others can't, I don't get it.

That's why this game needs a performance boost.

Computer Specs:

CPU: Core i7 960 at 3.4 GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3 2100MHz
HDD: Some generic 1Tb mechanical thing that's slow as treacle.
VIDEO CARD: GTX 760, 2Gb RAM.
MONITOR: Iiyama E2473HDS (rolls right off the tongue doesn't it!) at 1920 x 1080 native.
DIRECTX: 11.

Looking for:

1. Closed beta graphics quality.
2. Higher resolution textures.
3. Inverse kinematics would be nice, but the animations honestly aren't all that bad as they are.
4. An end to what is in 2015 pointless, obsolete DX9 support.
5. DX12 support when the appropriate time comes.

Honestly I would be happy just to see an improvement in FPS. This setup is flawless in Crysis 2 at max settings, and nearly perfect in Far Cry 4 at max setting (minus AA), so MWO should run better than it does, IMO.

More destructible terrain would be fantastic as well. Cars that you can blow up, damaging buildings, collapsible bridges, etc.

Looking for: Nothing. I turn my video settings all the way down so I don't have to look at the superflous eye-candy. Just gets in the way.

This harks back to my argument.

Quote

STANDARDIZATION OF FOG AND TREES ACROSS ALL VIDEO SETTINGS: When you play on high/very high you are at a disadvantage to people who play on low, because there are more trees and fog effects in your way. Make new ultra low detail trees, and low impact fog effects for low end systems, so people who play on low do not have a visual advantage.

There is only so much they can do. More stuff to render is more stuff to render. There was a time when I couldn't play the game on anything higher than medium settings if I hoped to have more than 30 fps. I'd hate to see how that rig would do now with all the silly destructable trees in the way.

CPU : Core2Quad 6600@3.2Ghz
Ram: 2x4Gb DDR3
SSD: 250Gb
Videocard: AMD Radeon R9 280x 3Gb
Monitor: Samsung 55" in 1920x1080
DirectX: Supp DX11.2, used DX11

MWO in 64bit client
Videosettings low except Textures and Shadow, even turned on heatmarks

mostly i get a reasonable Framrate about 30+

What could i expect from that Grandpa-Machine? ;)

My wish would be:
Please PGI dont stop LOW-End users support and dont let low-settings users get ANY profit over full-sets.
