Seriously, even after the Kickstarter, I know it will be sometime before we even have a Beta...... but I am really missing campaign based Battletech play.

Wish I could get Mechcommander Gold to run on this laptop to tide me over til it's ready! (Or that Heavy Gear was ready!)

I am waiting patiently. But do look forward to what The BattleTech creator can do with it!

Too far out for me to care really. I'm not likely to spend money on anything I can't play at this point no matter how much I like the idea.

Big time.

They have done a fantastic job with Shadowrun and proven they know what they are doing.

I can't wait to give them a bunch of money.

They can have my soul as payment as far as I am concerned.

The fact I'm impatient for a KICKSTARTER just to go up should be telling.

The fact that Mechcommander and Mechcommander 2 run like buggy junk on my computer probably doesn't help.

Yeah kinda. I think they announced the project just a little too soon. But I guess if you want critical mass for day one of Kickstarter, you do it how they have. GenCon and getting info out there for that was probably a huge motivator.

I understand where you are coming from. That said, this studio has a good track record and rep, and the "Creator" is involved. So, in this case, I must make an exception.

I'm excited. I've always been more of a MechWarrior gamer, but some strategy style BT gaming is good too. I did really like MechCommander (the source of my Cougar mech love). Even the turn based mech combat genre is ok, seeing as I am a huge Front Mission fan.

Overall, it sounds great to me.

I'm just trying to forget about it until the announcement email shows up. Until then I'm trying to beat Xcom on I/I just to pass the time until Xcom 2, Fallout 4, and Star Wars Battlefront come out, and after that I'll have so much to keep me preoccupied I'll be all like hey I forgot all about the new battletech game! And it'll be like Christmas.

yeah, I've missed a few projects that I would have funded because of poor advertising......(and some never got off the ground because of it), so while my impatience is getting the better of me, this is for the best. *SIGH*

I never got into MechCommander, but then again HBS has done absolutely gobsmack work with Shadowrun. Been playing the hell out of Hong Kong recently; the game story's not quite as tight and amazeballs as Dragonfall so far (I cannot freaking clear the ASIST decking challenge to finish off the game T_T), but the gameplay iteration is amazing.

Hell yes I'm eager to see what these guys do with BattleTech.

That game is probably just a concept at this stage and will likely to change direction multiple times but I'm sure we all agree that any Mechwarrior game is better than no game at all.

Yes.
The possibility of getting a good singleplayer TURN-BASED Battletech game is simply driving me nuts.

The fact that it takes place in 3025 (which is easily THE BEST ERA, and don't dare arguing with me).
The only thing that would make me even MORE excited for it, if it also had Quadrupedal mechs (in 3025 it's only the Goliath and Scorpion, both solid mechs for their roles) and fully functional melee combat (with charging, DFA, punching, kicking, ripping out trees and smacking people over the head with it)

Totally. Dunno yet how much I'm gonna pump on it, but definitely in this thing. After that I hope I forget about it and no one ever reminds me so I can surprise in 2017 "oh yeah totally forgot about this FRICKIN AWESOME!!!"

no argument here. One reason, even with the crappy art, I really was hopeful for MW:Tactics. Shame I'll never recoup the founder pack for that fiasco.

Yea, I ignored MW:Tactics. Something about it (other than the wonky artwork) just didn't feel right. Kinda looked boring and ugly honestly.
