There is a mech I would love to see customizable: the Battlemaster: with modifications that make it more similar with the Unseen version (bubble cockpit, pistol PPC, etc.). Maybe we will still get a "loyalty" custom geo for it?
About the Clan mechs, I think customization doesn't fit with the standardized nature of the Clans and their omnimechs.
Inner Sphere mechs were assembled (and modified, refitted, refurbished, upgraded or downgraded) by dozens of different factories during several centuries - Clan mechs not.

The Clan mechs are a bit tricky, but I figure since we have Invasion variants with custom geometry, they may as well make some more custom geo. Maybe it's not 100% consistent with lore, but I imagine all the Clan players would be upset if they couldn't have custom geo Clan mechs. And besides, what about Inner Sphere pilots who like to pretend they've salvaged a Clan mech? Shouldn't they be allowed to have that?

I think clanners would call foul if only the IS got custom geo.

But my dearest wish is a possibility to change the state of wear&tear on the camo, and how dirty/faded the mech looks.
Now some mechs look fresh while others look so worn you can hardly see the camo on them. I soo much want to be able to make (for example) a newly painted Jenner or a old worn out Zeus etc.
It could be made rather easily in the camp spec UI with one slider for wear/tear and one for dirt/fading, and then you'd pay 100MC or something to save a new setting.

One of the biggest sellers would be Executioner arms I think.. hell I'd pay to get rid of those stubs and have some cool ones, perhaps a hand.. or a flail.. or even a hammer... anything would be better than stubby "war veteran victim" arms..
I can't help it.. here's a few ideas:
1) Atlas scull - obviously. More scull, pirate scull, grizzled scull..
2) Executioner Arms / hammers / hands
3) Timberwolf snout with "sharkface teeth" or cut-off tip like on the Ebon Jag.
4) Centurion shield arm - Shield.
5) Black knight with "spikes" on the "knight's armor"
6) Mad Dog with round black leg elements like the ones on the shadow cat
7) Shoulder guards on some humanoid mech's shoulders
8) Awesome left arm with a humanoid fist
9) Different exterior cockpit colors (Black, orange, green, yellow, red, blue)
10) Direwolf / Warhawk / Adder - spikes or "turtleshell" like ridges on the outer top box
11) Crab / King crab - Sideways opening claws / circular opening claws / spikes and ridges for the king crab top plate
There's plenty more ideas.. you guys post some of your own..

I like your ideas. The main restriction is CCG (custom cosmetic geometry) can't modify hitboxes. The claws opening sideways would modify hitboxes.

People put money into skins like crazy in other games, pgi can make tons of money with this.
Laser barrels would be a big one for me.
having large med small and tag all look the same drives me nuts.
and i hate the look of some of the ultra acs. Some variation in weapon barrel skins would be great.
