Hey I’m not complaining but defo think I might be in the wrong tier.
So I don’t know if its still based at all on my older scores where I’d lose every other match even with a few kills. Or is it I’ve become soooooo awesome in just 2 weeks since the patch (I think not

The mech tier list isn't perfect, but it's more or less accurate to within one or two tiers. It's also not just a list of what a random person thinks is best, but by someone who is on one of the top two MWO teams and has feedback and experience from that.

First, you can't put 5 MPL on any Spider, there are exactly 3 hardpoints on the 5D. I have that build (personal favorite spider), I've also played the LL + 2ML and the 2ERLL builds. None of them are even close to a top Tier light. Let's try the Spider vs. Arctic Cheetah 1v1 match up. My money is on the Cheetah. There are also plenty of other mechs that can easily 1v1 a Spider.
The problem with Spiders is that they simply can't put out the amount of DPS needed to be competitive. Sure you might end up being the last person alive on your team, but that isn't what wins games.

If you don't want to be mocked for your intractable attitude, don't come here and whine and be arrogant, and try tell us you don't need to improve.

They even extended the building down the water as well as the dock to add MORE cover.
If you sit in the open center of the map and die, that's your fault.
I agree. River city is easily the best map in the game as of yet. I've yet to have an uninteresting, stomp game on it.

You should accidentally get 160 points using the T1->T3 mech builds.

If not... well....hrmmmm
I love the Cheetah, but I don't think I can trust a tier list that places it in T3...

To be in the upper level 4/5 bracket your going to have constant game score avg.
I myself have just over 8,500 matches under my belt. I would guess I am.
Level 4 Light
Level 4 Medium
Level 3/4 Heavy
Level 2/3 Assault
No one know how it works but Russ released a State Of Match Making In Mwo.
They are very happy with the new system closer matches less sweeps most sweeps are due to poor strategy and bad team coordination rather than ELO matching 6 people who score less than 100 points on one team.

you seem to misunderstand that list
it's a list of mechs/builds which supposedly allow you to carry hard without/with minimal help from your team
hence the top tiers are mostly filled with assaults and heavies

Tier 1 0-100 < match scores
tier 2 101-200
tier 3 201-300
tier 4 301-400
tier 5 401-500+

Two things
First you have the tier rankings backwards, Tier 1 is the best.
Second match scores are relative, not based on tiers. A full match of all tier one players will have about the same average match score as a full match of tier 5.
Where you see huge scores is when there is a big skill imbalance, e.g tier one playing against tier 5 would consistently pull very high match scores.
We don't know the actual numbers of what PGI considers bad, good, or exceptional. We can only guess and since match targets for challenge rewards are a 150 match score we can assume that is somewhere around what is considered average. So half that or less is probably considered "bad" where some multiple of that is going to be considered good/exceptional.

If that's not making a silk purse out of a sow's ear I don't know what is.
OP now has no excuse.

I doubt you're in 5.
One thing I've noticed is the bell curve does not support farming. Drop with too good of players, and everyone dies so quick that you don't get much done. Drop with too crap of players, and the team folds like a cheap table.
Get that mid-pack sweet spot? MMMMMMMMMMMMM tasty c-bills!
