IMO Summoner should be tier 5. Reasonable and fun but difficult to really do anything competitive with at higher PSR tiers. Warhawk is tier 3-4 for me for reasons as you stated and I also think the Mad Dog should be tier 4. Most people don't really play it right and sure, some mechs can do some things better but it still should be higher than the Summoner.

Has it occurred to you OP, that you are in the right tier? It does not matter how long you have played. If you score that low on average why do you assume and think you are "in the wrong tier"? Out of the games I played for the event I only did not score in 5 or 6 of them. Played 45 to 46 games, all the rest easily (well MOST of the rest easily) qualified. Been done for days with the event. And I am not a very good player.

All the self perceived "top tier" players that cry on the forums are astounding to me. Why do you assume you are that great at the game? That even under the new system your "not placed right". I am ok with my solid (assumed) tier 3-4. What can I say? I love lurms and I know where it puts me. I grind mechs all the time and rarely play anything even close to META. How come so many people believe they are tier 1 and 2 gods to the rest of us mere mortals?

That mech tier list is something that someone else thinks are the best weapons loadouts for mechs. It has been mentioned before that the Spider 5D is in tier 8. What a joke. Then I checked. His 5D build has 2 medium lasers and 1 large laser. No wonder. Throw 5 medium pulse lasers in that thing, set up your weapon groups properly and one can single-handedly take out any other mech, as long as they don't have streaks and a bap. Period.

But, I also love lights and do best in lights. As far as the PSR tiers, none of us know where we are placed. I have had some really good matches and some that have been total rolls both for my team and against us. Which was pretty much what I was getting under Elo. One problem remains the frequent disconnects and afk players. It's kind of hard to win if your team has even one dc and the other team has none.

To the OP. Dude, if PSR is broken for you, then it's broken for all of us. In which case, I will tell you the same thing I tell anyone who QQs about weapon nerfs or buffs or mech nerfs or buffs. Deal with it. This is the system and the game. If you don't like it, your choice is simple. Either accept it and keep playing and stop QQing or move on. If you honestly think it's a bug, send a ticket to PGI and then let it go.

i dunno why mad dog should be higher than a summoner when summoner is arguably better even as an lrm boat having more speed and jj for quick repositioning (and up to 5 launchers, but it's probably better to play it like 3 x 15) and as a streakboat too

also that person who made that tier seems to like poptarts (their summoner build is a poptart) and nimble heavies/assaults, note how high they placed victor

6x cLRM5 + 4x cERML + cTAG + 8T ammo + 7T extra heatsinks. Sorry the Summoner doesn't even come close. It's not even in the same universe. Regardless of JJ and the extra agility of the Summoner, the Mad Dog does pretty much everything better than it, even ballistics.

i dunno why you ignore mobility

for ballistics it's just funny, even ignoring poptarting with a gauss, 2 uac-5 3ml summoner is >> better than anything you can come with on mad dog (like 2 uac 10 is your best bet probably, you are helpless as soon as you lose your arms too)

I shouldn't adopt to anything or improve any skill - it's MM, who should provide team mates and enemies with appropriate level of skill for me. That's the single thing, you all can't understand about MM.

Once you're bad enough to be in Tier 5, you might not get any worse- but your team sure can.

There is no compensating for the underhive, after all.

My avg game score is way too low now - just a little bit higher, then minimum viable one. That means, I'm still stuck in a wrong PSR Tier. How much time it will take for me to be moved into right PSR Tier? I've been sitting in ELO hell for about 2 years. I don't want to wait any longer.

Chances are you are just terrible ? And are already in the right tier.

Well,

taking the blood money event games i had an average score of 180 (84 games, range from 20 to 486, really played some of the ® mechs for the first time), and all in all i had the feeling that player experience and behaviour was (imho) what i had to expect. Some great wins, some close ones, some big losses and some "damn'it, one more hit and we would have won it" moments.

Great fun, extra C-Bills, extra stuff, and the feeling that PSR is working for me.

Greetings

Yes because extra experience and match score for targeting assists, is totally not worth it ever. And that ability to tell what parts are ready to pop? TOTALLY overrated.

Well... please make sure you aren't useing crap builds.

You should accidentally get 160 points using the T1->T3 mech builds.

If not... well....hrmmmm

That list is so full of stupid. Who ever did it, have fun redoing it all when rebalance comes. But it will still stay stupid.

@OP: You are so bad, MM cant find anyone matching your badness. Thats all.

I don't need my skill to be improved - I just need enemies with appropriate skill level. And the whole point of MM's existence - is to do exactly this. As simply as that.

If you refuse to adapt you will likely not overcome. Plain and simple if what you are doing is not working, change or walk away.

This is literally ridiculous.

"I get stomped on all the time, i do not want to try to improve my gameplay, i just want MM to stick me in with similarly bad players so we can all derp around together"

WTF. Get a grip. Just try to improve yourself, isnt that why we play PvP games? For the challenge? If i wanted to always win/have derp opponents id play a game against AI.

I mean, matchmaking has a point of course, the best comp players shouldnt be against the newest / worst players, but expecting to never meet a player better than yourself just smacks of entitlement

I've been having similar scores and have been having a ball. I would say the number of stomps has decreased significantly, while my performance is sometimes good and sometimes bad I would say In general my opponents are not significantly more or less skilled than me

I'm playing non-stop for the 4th day in a row and still haven't earned even 6M CB via event and even 3M CB via match rewards. It takes ages to earn XP to level mechs up. This is just wrong. ELO was measuring team-based performance, which caused players like me to stuck in ELO hell - initial ELO value was taken as base one for PSR. But new system is personal-performance-based and therefore my rating should be corrected with time. But I still don't see any improvements. When will situation will start to improve? I don't want to sit in PSR hell for another year.

My PSR corrected itself very quickly. I don't know what Tier I am, but the quality of my matches improved dramatically.

I would say that the issue is less PSR and more you, no offense. The minimum viable score of 150 is pretty easy to get. If you're having trouble reaching it, then it could be that your connection or gaming rig are not up to task. That could result in problems with hit reg, ping, lag, etc. In addition, if you're not adapting your playstyle to the game environment, and keep trying to play however you want, then that can prevent you from making the 150. Case in point, it's a very bad idea to try to Rambo on your own. Yet, there are a lot of players who insist on doing this because that's how they play other games like CoD. Refusing to adapt will cost you. Lastly, staying close to your teammates, especially the Assaults, can really help boost your PSR. I like using Mediums, so by staying close to Assaults, I get Match Score bonuses.

Example:
I fire 3 LPLs at the rear of an enemy Mech and then rock back behind cover to cool down. Nearby is a friendly Dire Wolf. After a moment, I'm awarded the following:

Flanking
Hit and Run
Protected Medium

I achieve Flanking for shooting the enemy in the rear. I get Hit and Run because I dealt more than 30 points of damage and then "ran" by rocking behind cover to cool down. I get Protected Medium because I fought within (I think it's 100 meters) the "protection" radius of a Dire Wolf. All three of those add to my Match Score just like damage, kills, and assists.

If you're still having trouble, check out this thread here:
