I am going to compete.

So...just putting it out there now. We are 16 days away before registration closes for this tournament.

We have 22 registered people at this moment. Which is exciting, but we must meet a minimum threshold of registered participants before this event can take place.

We need 45 more people to register before this tournament can take place as is.

So I really want to run this tournament.

On October 1st, 2015 if we don't get the necessary number of registered participants I will give those who have some options:

• Run the tournament at a later date and get more people registered.
  
• Run the tournament at a later date and allow people to register for free, but if they won their prizes/winnings would be donated to the charity.
  
• Get refunded and don't run the tournament.
  
• TBD

We are only 13 days away from the registration period closing.

We only need 33 more participants to register before the September 30th deadline.

There is currently a vote taking place amongst the current registered participants of this tournament regarding what should happen if the threshold for the tournament participation is not met. If you really want this decision to become null-in-void then get registered!

I have just received word from Ms. Benoit that PGI is making a generous contribution to the prize pool for the winner of the tournament.

Part of the first place prize will be a Resistance 2 Mauler Pack!

With their generous contribution we now only need 24 more participants to register to meet the minimum threshold! So help us get the word out!

• Yesterday someone or may people got onto reddit and spammed, spammed, and spammed the tournament on /r/mwo and /r/OutreachHPG and used the handle "Soulstrom" and a few others from what I saw and was told. From what I can see all of the threads in question have been removed the "accounts" have been deleted and only official ones made by me remain.
  
• I cannot prove a negative and have no way of proving that it wasn't me on reddit yesterday. My reddit username is MWOSoulstrom and TheRealSoulstrom.
  
• I posted a full explanation for what transpired on reddit yesterday with an apology for letting my accounts (wix and enjin) get hacked on my watch. The damage was catastrophic and took hours to repair.
  
• All of the details regarding legality of this tournament has been posted.
  
• Please do not get sucked into the rumor mill and refrain for using the word "scam" on this thread.
  
• Ultimately I am sorry for what happened on reddit yesterday, but I can't control the internet.
  
• It has been made clear that any and all registrations tickets will be refunded on October 3rd and 4th if the tournament does not take place.

For everyone coming on to this thread, first HELLO! and second there was discussion on these issues when the tournament was first announced. Please take the time to review this and the many, many additional threads on this matter as well as the original post.

Because who's to say you aren't just collecting a bunch of people's money and going to do a runner with it? Why would PGI not want you advertising on it's forums? Because if you do do a runner there is a reasonable chance that people affected would attempt to hold PGI liable for their losses and there's is also a reasonable chance that legally they would be successful as these forums are owned and maintained by them and they did nothing to prevent said loss.

(It is a sad reality of today's world that, due to repeated demonstrations of flaws in human nature and idiotic legal systems, we can't have nice things.)

if we do not reach the threshold i want to be clear i do not want a refund i want it to go to the original cause. play or no play prizes or not. not why i entered.
