Those where good times to be honest, eventually us "OLD's" became close enough skillwise to make the matches vs the "leet" groups exciting. Adapting and learning is essential, this typically comes with getting wiped out first.

Oh yea
that's what we should strive for here - sh*tty match quality is better htan no match at all.
It's not fun. Nobody enjoys it, nobody enjoys waiting for 10 minutes to get a match against the same handfuls of super groups. We don't always lose either, it's about 50/50. So I'm not salty about losing. I'm salty about 5-10 + minute waits, to be matched up with the same meta-deathball groups who just wanna farm wins over and over in the same 5 chassis. We're getting 4 maybe 5 matches in an hour that last 3-4 minutes each. It is the weakest of sauces.
I'm sorry but with my valuable and not that common gaming time, I'm looking for a little more excitement and satisfaction than "Oh noes, it's them again, maybe we can kill 1 this time". In fact thats not even an issue when they are in smaller groups, cause man for man we're easily up to par. But a team made of several 2-3 mans can't beat 10 organized try hards, it's just not gonna happen. 10 organized normal players, sure. Bring em on.
We wanna get on and have some good mech-blowing-up matches, and not have to tryhard milsim our way through every damn match, cause that's not everyone's definition of a good time. In fact quite the opposite for me personally

A stomp here and there is fine and normal. Every match, literally, over and over, one way or the other... is unacceptable
It's the equivalent of the hardcore semi-pros who join the beer league baseball team. A small segment of the population sucking the fun out for the beer leaguers

On this we agree. I dont have time to wait 10+ minutes for a match.
So whats your solution cSand?
you describe the problem in detail, but how can it be fixed?

Well, since that makes up vastly more of the population than the hardcores, maybe it should be the other way round.
all I'm saying is the matchmaker sh*ts the bed with low populations. And having new players come up against tryhards is a great way to ensure a low population
Additionally, just cause you can put in the hours of time to be amazing at video games, does not give you more of a right to enjoy your time playing them than anyone else.

I honestly have no idea, cause it's the same in every game that has been multiplayer, throughout history
Sandbaggers gonna sandbag
I'v already said though.. on weekends or during events when the population is higher, the matches are way better. The MM can actually put good matches together and in a decent amount of time.
I honeslty wouldn't mind playing agains the try hards if I didn;t have to wait 10 minutes + for a 3 minute match. That's the real problem here

We all have an equal right to play the game, initial implementation of the PSR system specifically made Tier 1 groups play LESS than anyone else, why do good groups not have the right to enjoy their time playing the game instead of staring at a search wheel?

To be fair, everyone is staring at that wheel
and then getting sh*te matches

I think the main point it, how about we all STOP staring at the wheel and get to those sh*te matches faster why waste time waiting for the inevitable?

I hear ya
I'm not against high level players, or nubs, I just don't wanna wait forever to get into a match. So most of the frustration stems from that.
It hoenstly is at the least 5, minutes, the average for us is I'd say 10 minutes on a weeknight. I know this because I'll be watching videos to study for some tests and it's usually between 7-15 minutes. Sometimes you get faster or w/e but when a match lasts 3-5 minutes, it's hardly worth the wait
I have no idea how to make it faster though without just adding a crapload more players
