Ok guys, we get it, you wiped the floor with us.

At what point did you think we needed to be reminded of it?

When I was growing up, playing a variety of outdoor sports, we were encouraged to be sportsmanlike, no matter how badly we won or lost. It seems as though the anonymity of the internet encourages the people who normally in a face to face confrontation would behave themselves, to let their true nature run wild.

To all of these people, I say grow the **** up. Being good at a video game, even though most of the people that do this are'nt very good, they just hang off the coattails of those that are, does not make you a superior human being. I get rekt by Proton, Heim, Juju, Twinky, etc., ...None of these guys usually feel the need to be tools about wrecking us, it's you wannabe's that are the big talkers, and it';s you guys with the inferiority complexes that seem to feel the need to do this crap.

I'm an average MWO player, and don't have a problem with that, however, in my day, I was a very. very, useful cricketer, and I'm still a player to be feared on an 8 ball table, when I win, I shake my opponents hand, and say well played, or bad luck, it's called being a sportsman.

So to all you mental midgets that do the whole ggclose thing, grow the hell up, and stop overcompensating for your small penises, noone really ****** cares...Oh,m and learning some manners would'nt be a bad start either.

*flame shield activated*

And yeah, I know, they arent gonna listen, and they dont care about my opinion on their juvenile trolling, but at least I've had my say... :P

Maybe so, I just needed a vent. None of these clowns could hack it on my turf anyway, and it ain't gonna happen, it's still sad to see sportsmanship dying anywhere.

Half the time when my team has stomped the enemy team and I say "gg" out of common courtesy and sportsmanship, I get replies along the lines of "stfu no it wasn't".

It's like some folks on the stomped team WANT the victorious team to say things like "ggclose" or "rekt".

Victorious or defeated, you'll get people complaining about anything someone says at the end of the game. I can see how this negativity might bring out the ****** in anyone and prompt the "ggclose" chat.

Just remember folks, it's only a game and like most games people are going to shake your hand afterwards in the spirit of competition. Saying "gg" at the end of a match is a digital handshake to show respect to your opponents.

I dont't have an issue with a "gg" in the circumstances you describe, I regularly type "ggwp" after a match, It's the douchebags that type ":ggclose" after a 12-0 that give me the irrits.

Especially when said douchebag did very little to get the win.

IMO, it seems like you're looking for a reason to get mad. It's a game, like any other, after all.

The saltiest people tend to be the most vocal, so I wouldn't let this get to you. As a whole, the community of MWO isn't that bad...

Grow some balls, people. Seriously. If "GG close" gets under your skin, maybe competitive games are not for you. Try Candy Crush.

And generally, I totally agree with you about the community, I'm really not that mad, just tired of underachievers talking like they won the match.

It's been a while since I have seen "ggclose", although I have seen a few instances of people still going ballistic on a "gg" after being stomped.

In any case ...

wish this game would start chat banning these people like other games have (any WG game). "gg" and "GGclose" on a landslide win (with one side losing less than half their vehicles) there is considered insult and provocation and can get you chat banned... and i have seen perma- chat bans handed out over it as well.. there were a few RELIC (a well known and powerful clan in WoT) members who still can't use chat to this day because of it. most clans there have a strict "do not communicate to the enemy" rule for good reason. honestly i personally would like to see in match chat restricted to the team you are on only. there is no good reason to speak to the other team inside of a match. anything you would say there is better spoken before or after. during the match, the opposing team is the enemy and they are only worthy of death.

I think any kind of ban for such a thing is nothing but excessive. I recommend that people grow thicker skin instead.

And a game moderator issuing one indicates to me that someone on the moderation hierarchy is suffering from a case of too much salt after losing badly too many times.

I would say 99% of the people that I've played with/against in MWO are a decent bunch. There's only a couple of players I've come across that acted like arseholes, spouting shite and gloating at the end of a match, and they do in every game I've played with them. They still do
And no even If I'm in a match and we stomp 12-1,it's never a good game.
It's not very classy to rub it in,no need for it.

That sure did a lot to make you a mature individual.
Pray, tell what was that kind of sports that encouraged ranting on forums after the match for an off-hand ironic joke?

So yeah, cool story.

No it is not. It hasn't been sportsman-like to say "GG" after stomping a team, for a long time. Hence I always just type "GJ team" instead, in all chat after stomping the opposition. Getting stomped is never a good game to the other side. Understanding that fact is one of the steps of becoming a respectful player.

You started it, you mature individual, by telling me to grow some balls, pray tell, where did YOU learn your maturity, perhaps you are one of these people that goes in for "offhand ironic jokes?"

Cool story indeed my friend... ;)
