They can try to force it sure, but what good is that going to do? They still haven't fixed CW, the Group Queue basically the comp team playground.

Forcing it has never really worked. Just based on the 3/3/3/3 system (which also doesn't work reliably MM-wise), people actively try to fill up all the heavier spots and the Light mech be damned (unless you like running a "meta-Light") unless you're a more casual group (or a group that needs to grind).

So they are going make force composition when the majority plays solo and teams are ACTIVELY vilified? This from a developer that makes ECM that is commonly referred to as a GODBOX and then doesn't account for that in the matchmaker?

The vilification IMO has more to do with people not understanding that working together is actually the best solution. Some people believe in the team-first mantra... but we're somewhat cultivating "rambos" in a way that "do their thing" and expect it to work very often.. and yet stay away from the group queue because "it's not for them".

It's broken on many levels, that really has to be addressed somehow (you won't get rid of the rambos, but you can keep reminding them that teamwork is OP).

You REALLY don't want ECM to be factored into the MM. It's doesn't help the situation. It still comes back to making sure ECM is properly balanced so it isn't the #1 option when it is available (only the Mist Lynx is the mech that taking ECM can be detrimental).

Call me skeptical.

That's being nice. I have a different word for it though....

we understand that it's a draft

the problem is, it's a very scary draft and it's hard to believe something good can come from such a terrible draft

if they are only trying to test the sensors; why do many mechs get unwarranted negative quirks?

it makes no sense

That is because this is now damage control.

One point about weapon quirks - they are absolutely required in some cases to make chassis relevant.

It is literally impossible for the Panther to be a relevant mech without weapon quirks, because a firestarter or raven or Jenner would be able to do exactly the same weapon builds but with higher mount or torso mounts to remove the arm only vulnerability. If its not better at firing PPCs than those mechs it has no reason to exist. Just an example.

Well he gets officially paid from pgi. What else do you expect him to be if not a mouthpiece of pgi?

Myself, I am all for IS to be beefier, faster, but less agile at top speeds, while allowing clan to be agile at all speeds.

Who knows. This isnt new content thats for sure. Other than the sensors addition to game play. Which is actually great but players are still stuck in a static mechbay after years etc.

Yeah so in the solo queue where they don't even balance ECM between teams, you are supposed to want to take an "info" mech for a dramatically lower payout?

Further insulting, personal attacking and complaining then rather giving feedback is too hard?

We all know what happened when IGP was onboard, we all didnt liked it, we all had our opinions about that. That's the past, we're now present. There's alot more behind the scenes at IGP then most you would know.

Get over it it. I am no White Knight, but your insults / complaints doens't make sense.

I've given plenty of feedback.

I'm also of the opinion that they are full of it. They had been hyping the "reblance patch" for WEEKS.

Now oh yeah, GUYS GUYS calm down, this was only to test our BV algorithm, and inforwar. Yeah, nope, doesn't pass the sniff test.

If that angers the white knights, tough noodles.

Shills do what shills are paid to do, make excuses.
Now that this idea is rejected its back to the paper napkins and no change for months till the next idea.

Also, these sensor quirks generally only serve to increase the gap between the people that already know how to play the game, and those that don't.

You can apply this statement to every single change in this PTS. I'm amazed no one pointed this out in the play testing phase.
