Uh huh. Where are you going to get those 15 tons + ammo?

We do not "know for a fact" that it is top damage dog. The build used for comparison purposes has to be useful, not just theorycrafted for max damage.

7E isn't useful with 16 DHS without massive quirks like the ones on the Thud (both range and heat efficiency). And even then it's really only useful on the Thud due to its 83 kph speed.

The counter argument to the previous challenge is "damage isn't everything". I'm already satisfied that the MAD-HB2 has a niche, isn't' it enough to be the best at something (in this case damage), does it really have the be the best at everything.

You seem very concerned that the PAY mech must be the best mech. did you forget the concept of free-to-play and pay-to-win?

How can you say that it would be the best at everything with a 300 engine size? Let me have some of that stuff you are smoking, it seems pretty good!

More engine = more better. I'm not going to spend $15 on a heavy trying to pretend it's an assault. The (S) variant seems like it will otherwise satisfy my c-bill grinding needs. Too bad, c-bill grinding in a mech painted for the job would be funny.

No. You are the one concerned that the BH2 may be the best. My point is that the 7mpl grasshopper isn't a particularly OP mech by any standard and is objectively better than the best build you've come up with on the " problem" bh2.

I don't want the bh2 to be the best. I want it to make, oh, maybe t2? Probably t3. At 275, its tragically bad.

"Add a gauss rifle"? Have you even tried making builds for the mech you think is so in danger of being overpowered with a 300 or 325 engine? To add a gauss rifle to 7 mpl means sacrificing 3 DHS, bringing you down to 13. A 13 DHS 7mpl build is objectively bad.

that's 3 tons...if you skip ammo. Just saying.

As to top damage dog? It's not. Maaaaaaaaybe the highest single-shot alpha, but only if you don't care about firing more than once (on a slow, short range mech that will have to brawl, not peek and poje). So, this "know for a fact" part is just ridiculous.

Again, give specific builds you feel are a problem at 300 or even 325 rating.

it has 14t free with filled crit slots and 7mpl. Can easily afford the tonnage for a goose waffle, the problem is crit slots for DHS. A 7mpl goose waffle build doesn't have the cooling to brawl, or the speed to peek and strike.

Sorry, thought you said 12 tons left in an earlier post. Is that with or without JJ, out of curiosity? I'm too focused on the Niners/Vikings game to build it, lol.

If his build concept was so amazing, we'd see these running wild. (Hint: I've never seen one)

The funny part is that's around the same speed as 275 STD Marauder. Except one of them is a Banshee with Banshee hitboxes, and Banshee Damage Sponge Arms and very high energy mounts for all but 2 of the MPLs.

i think the more crucial part is we got what...2-3 posts saying NO!!!! one or two more ambivalent either way....and a whole lot more who are saying "Mo Motor or No Money!".

IMO it needs a buff in engine cap to buff speed, a 225 engine in 75 ton Mech is not much

The specs are given. This actually makes the Bounty Hunter the Bounty Hunter. You dont like it dont buy it. Thats the problem PGI has, beeing blackmailed by people because they want their own personal thing. Let them do their thing, criticize when you actually tried what they intended.

ok

then it should have substantial weapon (not some infotech crap) energy quirks

The low engine cap was also a reason why I didn't play my Golden Boy much.
I think they increased the cap to 290 some time later (stock 220).
I'd say for the MAD-BH2 we need a 300 cap, cause anything below 300 in a 75 ton mech is very slow.

It better not overheat if it's that slow and like canon does not overheat them I'm ok with that trade off.

No. If it isn't changed now, it will never be changed.

This doesn't make the BH the BH anymore than capping the engine at 300 does, its a more or less arbitrary limit.

A heavy mech that goes 71 KPH is not "our own personal thing", it makes the mech more fun to pilot for everyone. Please, provide some rational reasoning why it should be gimped. Or, are you just not planning on buying it so you don't care if its a POS or not..

Or give them constructive feedback, on what they can do to make a product more appealing, more competitive, and thus sell more.

Crazy thought, right?

Sorry i am not as omniscient like you. The greatest part of this game is creating your own Mech within the given spectrum. Either you slap a huge ass engine in your mech or you slap a ton of weapons. Anything is possible. How do you know how i like to play my heavy mech?

Constructive Feedback does not end with "... or i wont!"

Constructive criticism is knowing what will or wont work across the board in this game, and realizing that outside the underhive, super slow 75 ton laser vomit mechs don't work.

Mechs that are that obviously gimped, don't sell. It's not threats or ultimatums, but a fact. Sales are good for everyone.

Not omniscience, or rocket science.....it's common sense.

Where life had no value,
Death, sometimes,
Had its price.
That is why the
Bounty Killers appeared.

Its the Bounty Hunter - so low speed is not a problem.

On one hand it got more hardpoints on the other hands those HPs are energy HPS - and you need Heatsinks to run them properly - and heatsinks automatically means a bigger engine

if anything bounty hunter should be the fastest marauder
