Wait, where are the mini-mechs, nipple-PPCs, and micro-peen autocannons. I am not used to the scaling, those mechs look imposing.

With Harebrainedschemes, 3025, and turn-based, it is all win.
Can't wait to give these guys money and get this thing rolling.

Kickstarter is like investing. You do a little homework, figure out the risks for yourself and don't invest more money than the risks allow (or can afford).

Kickstarted about 4 games (all of which I'm happy about) and got a sweet quality (won't fall apart) leather belt you'll never find in stores.

If you're uncomfortable about this, drop $20 and be done with it. Otherwise I want to see what they got for offer.

New game announced... use topic to vent bitterness on old game? Uninstall it man, come back and check in 6 months, but this level of bitter can't be healthy.

I am honestly a little surprised to see you defending PGIs the mech and weapon scaling. That is a long and winding path from the Bishop who used to post mock-ups and design changes for every mech release, and the player who coined the term nipple-ppc.

Not defending them.t

But this OP really has nothing to do with PGI, or the like. Just surprised and disappointed that you are so bitter as to have to bring it to this Topic.

I have serious complaints with the scaling in MWO. But I don't see any purpose in bringing it up on a post for HBS' game.

I will wait and watch, I am already in the 40k eternal crusade founders program, and I will be getting battlefleet gothic armada when it is released.

Not to mention all the new content coming for living legends, on top of that I still play warthunder and startrek online.

also let me know if you could get that to work. I could never get the Titanium version to run on any type of virtual environment no matter what I did.

They better not release a sweet ass video that makes your brain burst with imagination and immersion and then make the game turn out like MWO.....that bait and switch from this game was so mean....

They better release a game based on thier amazing videos, and based off what they tell us.

Of course, kickstarter, so that does mean no publisher? If so, that will mean the game is fine, cuz publishers ruin games with thier deadlines and money hungry selves...

Well, Titanium is working more or less functionally. Only 2 crashes over 3 hours, and playable. Graphics often bug out, and after every mission you need to open one of the drop down menus to fix the graphical glitches.

Moderate success with Flamers and salvage. A single Flamer can shut down even an Atlas given enough time.

If you don't have the files, they are on Abandonware.

To get it working, use Mech VM.

Blastman apparently has a Dos version (this one is windows, AW has both available) that works without the graphical glitches, and generally more stable...but I can't get the DOS working. Mech VM is just pressing a few buttons.

i´m really curious how it will turn out... HBS didn´t disappoint me with Shadowrun so far, PGI did with MWO a bit... Anyway, i wish HBS the best of luck with BattleTech, hopefully it won´t just be a reloaded MW:Tactics... (what happened to the assets and rights after the close-down anyway?)

Thats actually about how big they should be. That scaling is almost perfect, and they are using PGI mechs. Whats PGI's excuse!?

if that metal block in the foggy distance is another vehicle (what I think) and not the crab's foot, it looks closer to 30+ meters tall

so way too big. those tanks are a solid 3+ meters... they look so tiny.

This, never invest/kickstart more than you are willing to lose. Too many people like at Kickstarter like its pre-ordering :(

Here's a interview with Jordan Weisman about some of the games.

Perhaps posted before, but would like to mention anyway.

I am working on the turn-based BattleTech game that we are about to bring to Kickstarter. We are currently in the pre-production phase in which we are working on the core game mechanics, the story setting, and the look and feel of the game.

Things that got me interested:

1. Harebrainedschemes is making it, creators of shadowrun.
2. Jordan Weisman is behind it pretty hardcore.
3. Catalyst Gamelabs is behind it.
4. They are using PGI/BT art assets.
5. It will be on Linux, Mac and Windows.
6. Kickstarter, not their own 'packages' on a website.
7. Turned Based
8. 3025 timeline setting, no clans, no need to balance clans for now
9. Possible combined arms, depending on stretch goals
10. No instant convergence :D
