i think the most people stalled with one map. The right decision would be to let everyone have one "failure" map, and with that not to put down the required matchscore - it would eitherway need a revamp.

Whats with all the DMG sokers, and supporter, or with 1800 dmg and 8 kills not achieving tier 2 ?
(But farming discos :P )
So the matchscore thing also needs a big revamp.

Yeah the frustaration level took almost tier 3 if that would be possible, never seen so many mad goin ppl.

This is why we need map filters.

Okay. Let's forget this event as a scary nightmare. Sure PGI has got some important lessons during the last days.
Anyway they love us all. ;)

Reliance on RNG to complete challenge = frustration.

I ended up hating PGI.

Not good.

agreed! RNG with this kinda stuff makes the challenge a lot less fun when you keep dropping on maps you dont need. Even more so with CW queues taking so long and ghost drops. I hope PGI learns form this event.

I would like to hear them say that after frustrating this many people. :)

Also, I would like to add that I would have wanted to play the CW events also. But i never even had the chance to start as i was stuck with getting the right maps.

Well, yep. That feeling when you got points for most of the maps you needed in the first evening, and then during 4 days can't get 2 last maps you need to finish Tier 2. And in total - all in vain...

This is like the second worst even next to the 1 kill, 1 assist, match win = 1point event. RNG rotation of the maps was terrible! You can sense the pure desperation of everyone missing that last map in the final moments of the challenge!

I was aiming for CW tier 1, but no Sulfurous rift at all

"funny": a 3 streak of Emerald Taiga followed by 2 Boreal Vault.

In my opinion, for the "standard" game the time was... fine, but too small for CW.
To restrict the DC players, could enable a "forced rejoin", and choose between participating in the event or not to participate but able to change mechs (by DCing)

Horrible event, just horrible. I almost feel cheated for the amount of time i spent attempting to complete 1 map for this challenge, when its more than obvious that PGI had designed the matchmaker to prevent completion. If that's not the case, and they did not rig the event, then admit it was broken. I played 40 hours in the last 3 days, and i saw canyon network 2 times. that's 200 games. At the very end, i disconnected probably 50 games trying to get it. What people keep trying to justify to me is that its random, and that you just were unlucky. So let me put it in prospective, with an analogy that you can understand about how unlucky. So lets say i have an 8 shot revolver and i want to die. I'm playing Russian roulette and i spin the barrel and pull the trigger, if its based on the random chance that i experienced with PGI i could pull the trigger over 150 times before i died. Statistically that chance of 1 in 8 is .125. i would have a better chance to win a scratch and play lottery, as my real odds for canyon network were 2/250 or .008 (less than a percent). as PGI rigged it, the odds are not true to the random map choice, the only explanation is that ELO(what ever they call it now) broke the random map %, plus they weighted the newer maps higher than older ones. Thank you PGI for cheating me in a free game, lucky all i lost was my time, and that you will not have anymore of it.

This Game will NEVER get a mapfilter for YOU to use. Its against the concept of making money with this game. This game is builed around the Matchmaker (all Wargaming Games, Warthunder, Ground Forces are equally programmed and also simplest arenashooters). The Matchmakers only job is the so called "Grindcontrol" to frustrate the players that much, that they will most likely a) spend money to avoid grinding B) just leave.
The Event was only here so PGI get data of a) how long one player is willing to spend his time to get some "free" stuff and B) is the "free stuff" in the correct priceclass - just to prepare this game for steamlaunch and adjust prices and matchmaker. And when they saw that so many players are just unable to reach 300 points in a single round, they lowered it to the average skilllevel. And what i saw during this event, the playerbase is already a "greedy, egoistic and lowskilled bunch of cashcows" and prepare yourself to see that level of players rising up to the sky when this game is on steam - also the grinding will go to the next higher level.

All maps have equal weighting during this event, which should help.

It does not appear that all of the games have equal weight. I dropped at least for over an hour and a half this morning, with at least 3 to 4 drops on HPG, Veridian Bog and Canyon and only one at Crimson Strait.

I played all weekend and never even saw Tourmaline Desert. I even ran a few matches early today in an attempt to at least see that damn map. I would have loved the chance to actually complete this challenge.

As some here previously suggested, a good way to mitigate the frustration caused by the event was to allow one miss from each tier. The most complicated situations, imo, are those where players get the elusive final map.

got the map i needed right after the event. next time you pull this s*** i'm just not loging in at all. This event was terrible I played Canyon Network maybe 4 time total this whole event. Spent the rest trying to get it while trying to get better scores through all the D/C. Heck one game i felt bad for winning since they had 4 Disco. We had one afk. Badly thought out event. also i hate consumable prizes and auto 3 premium time prizes. I want something i cant get not a bunch of crap. premium time is nice but by the time the event is done im wiped of MWO and I work i can't just play all day it would be nice to be able to activate it when i can use it. Love'd the warhorn/hula/air freshener and MC though those were prizes to fight for. I also liked the idea of tiered prizes these ideas i would like to see more of. The D/C penalty was a good idea but badly done, would like to see more ideas like this but better implemented. I'm just tired of bad prizes and badly thought out events.

I feel you on this completely. I was one of the unfortunate folks who was unable to get the most common CW map, Boreal Vaults, after seeing it on Thurs or Fri once. I just got it ~10 minutes before the end of the event and managed to get a qualifying match score at ~1120 CST. I was kind of hoping that it would count so I could get T1 CW rewards (I still needed to find another Vitric Forge match to try for the 300+ MS so T2 CW rewards weren't going to happen sadly) but alas such is fate. A combined total score would've made more sense to me rather than having to pray to RNGesus to simply get the chance at getting a qualifying score on a map.
