I have no problem with that.
6 maps are above 260 points.
I'm so close sometimes that it hurts.
Tourmaline and Mining are at 294 / 298 at the moment.
I guess Tuesday on the last hours, i will know if tier 1 is possible for me.

I have qualified for 2nd prize pack with good results being a novice player (playing since the end of August).
Trying to reach the 400+ score I've realized that <clan streak SRM6> is a key to win.
Stormcrow-D with 5 CSSRMs let me get results like this -

PS: and the real problem is the needed map when you are qualified 7/9 or 8/9.

We you combine the amount of cheating, sandbagging, screwed up scoring system and jacked up map rotation, you get a perfect storm.

1) Players outright cheating=Hope all of them get a ban.
2) Players sandbagging=Fighting until they get damaged, then hiding the rest of the match,forcing team to carry them.
3) Sandbagger gets a better score for hiding, teammate who carried team gets worse score.
Scoring system. Bonus being alive or number of mechs left alive, combined with the above screws over the HONEST players. Knowing how the top players are getting good scores, I find it hard to respect them. Especially the ones I am in a match with and I see them sandbagging.
4) Map rotation, should NOT be random when you are requiring us to get certain maps.


*5) Lets add Ghost Drops in this a@@ pain evolution also.

PGI, I read through the forum and I stand with the majority to say that this event is bad. Please do better in the next one.

This... This right fraking here. A little while ago there were these events in CW or that required you to be in a lance and I could avoid them for the most part in solo pug queue, but not for this. I don't even have the option to avoid the event!

I only have a little bit of free time every weekend to play something, and I would like to play MWO... but not right now. I can also tell you that I'm not on the fence about the Marauder anymore. I'm going to spend my $ on FO4, since you know they are basically the same fraking price. I'll get a hell of a lot more enjoyment out of it, especially if this event is an indication of the way the game is going.

Tournament bracket for a group for these events? THAT is a good idea. Especially a unit of 4 of the same people or have to be in a unit of 4 to get the point since the same people may not be able to play in the 7 day stretch. This is what the competition should be about, not this solo fest.

for regular players (no i wont abuse it, like other due the imbecil group system) is this event, pathetic and stupid. and thats all.

I think the event would be better if the CW scoring was fixed.

CW is dead. nobody plays that ****, no matter if they lower the score there to 10 points, I wont play it. 25 mins waiting ? where are you devs ? in 1984 ?

Exactly. Community Warfare (and Battletech in general) is all about the lance. The group. The organized fighting force. This solo warrior stuff isn't very fluffy. Unless, of course, you're talking a Trial of Grieviance, in which case you could do it in its own event queue on an arena map list.

First of all sorry for my English.

My opinion is nothing new. But I'm going to sum up my experience throughout the event so far nevertheless.
Getting a score of 300 isn't a problem for me. Even 400+ isn't that difficult. On some maps I got 500+ on my first try. I'm not bragging, but I consider myself an ok pilot.
And even with this level of skill I'm still having hard time finishing tier 2 requirements. Some maps just don't show up. I've played for several hours (at least four) straight and Insert_your_map_here appeared like twice or so.
What happened to the old "get N 400+ score matches"? Why it should be that map in particular while we have no control over selecting it? What difference does it make? You know good and well that your random map distribution or map rotation or whatever is compromised: maps don't have equal appearance probabilities on our side. And you still decide to add this requirement to the event. "What were they thinking!?"(c)
For example in Oceanic takeover we could select both server and game mode.
The issue is this doesn't make us play harder. On the contrary, you couldn't care less about a match if you already have desired score on this map. Unless you're aiming for the top 10, which 99% of us don't. And this promotes killing yourself as fast as possible and starting a new match in a different mech. Which in turn compromises both teams: your team is forced into 12vs11 and enemy team gets less dmg.
Funny thing is I'm two days into this event, I tried hard like really hard and with all those wasted hours and effort I couldn't even complete tier 2 public queue. You know, it just isn't paying off. Not to mention I haven't even started on CW yet. Considering that CW match usually takes about 30 mins (and add wait time) and most of us only have one dropdeck it's gonna be a huge pain. Especially if you encounter 12 man on your solo drop. Pain and humiliation.
Once again, I'm not bragging, but my avg CW score is about 450 and I've seen some matches. Yet I still consider these all maps requirements ridiculous. They just make this whole ordeal unnecessary hard, frustrating, painful and time-consuming.
Once again it's too much situation/luck based rather than skill/effort.
In my opinion even extending this nonsense won't help. It's just not fair. We deserve better. We deserve some compensation for all that we had to go through, no matter what results we achieved. Just for participating in this mess of an event. And it should be good. Not like free UAV or some cockpit items. Even getting free raven and adder were easier than fighting for those 300MC.

First: I like that it's a different kind of challenge with quite an effort to get through. That's cool!

Second: The match score counting in CW is really ****** up. Dividing the score by the number of 'Mechs used leads to a ridiculous way of playing for those who got it: standing behind with their troll-Locust and effectively do nothing to help their team. If the team wins: 800 damage, 800 match score! bam! You're an awefull teamplayer, here's your reward!

Yes they did. I was disconnecting after death. I then noticed that I was being penalized for it when the rules specifically said that disconnecting after death was not a penalized action. I received an email back saying the whole Disconnect rule was scrapped.
