The worst thing about those under slung arm hardpoints is that on the Instagram there are a few post showing the complete model fully textured with its long barreled, side mounted PPC. This must have been a last minute decision, and a bad one at that.

Turns out PGI did unleash the horror on the chest hardpoints. Quadnavels! :P

And plenty of under-slung arm points for the extra kick.

Yeah, if only they had some mechs like the Blackjack, Jagermech, Raven, or Stalker.

At least your arms aren't set diagonally, WHILE being below the waist. Making them not only extremely low, but also extremely widely set apart. On a mech that is also horribly oversized.

Welcome to Quickdraw.

Well... We should be thankful they didn't decide to make his weapons under-slung too <_<

I really, REALLY do not understand why PGI goes along with under-arm weapons when you can't raise arms.
It is possibly the most moronic decision they have EVER made and instantly puts mechs at a massive disadvantage relative to others without the BS points..

Mhm. PGI really f*cked it up.

Easily the worst Concept-3D translation in MW:O. It's just embarrassing.

Actually someone painted the head bright red and the fellow Atlas pilot thought it was a buzzer in a quizshow...

I don't understand the fuss.
We knew it was going to be like this. I bought it knowing it. I'm ok with it.
The mech will be made or broken by it's quirk and hitboxes, as always.
Look at the Wolverine 6K: it has low slung hardpoints, but it's the best IS medium because of quirks and what i consider solid hitboxes.
The Blackie will be a solid corner peeker and brawler. I don't care if it ain't gonna be god tier

Well ok, so it has low hardpoints...

Let's all just take a step back and DEAL WITH IT...

I'm starting to think that some people here will whine about just about anything..

I'm sure that PGI will compensate for the drawbacks with quirks or something, and you know what.. id does have one high mount, the one on the head.. perfect for a PPC or a ERLL...

So, let's not be too judgemental untill we see it in action.

My only beef with the Black Knight is that it from the original concept art, it looks like it's been on a diet.. Its a bit too slim.

I know that's good for providing less of a target, but still.. I'm a visual type. :P

Probably will still buy one when it's out for cbills.

IS mechs can't equip ERLL on the head because unlike the superior Clan tech, IS ERLL requires two slots. ;)

Well ok then :P

Maybe the head hardpoint will allow that.. and if it won't, make it useful with a nice TAG so I can LRM the shait out of that mech your'r brawling with, and actually help you kill it

Or just add another medium... 5 x mediums is very VERY nice..

Not only that, Clan ERPPCs require 2 slots. PPCs and IS ERPPCs require 3.

What a trash mech. So happy I didn't order this piece of crap.

I was actually looking forward to it when the GRH/BLK polll was announced. In MW4 it looked cool, but this model looks like a joke. Has to be the worst design so far. Really dissapointed, I was expecting they would make it much cooler. The concept was so-so. Why not make the arms bigger or something. Specially the left one really bugs me out. There should be a big shield on it. Now it looks so slim and weak. Messed up hardpoints, which could maybe save it, if did better, now make it even worse.

the Blackknight was always only a decent mech on the table top where its all energy and above average mobility made for a decent IS heavy. But the weapon points and PPC meant it was always not going to be god like in MWO. If you thought otherwise for insane quirks then your expectations were lopsided
