So much ignorance.

The more people who chase the map by disconnecting, the longer it takes everyone to reach their goals.

Egocentric game play is the problem; I merely played normally in whatever I wanted to play, doing the best I could, and didn't even know an event was going on, and still made my goals.

By helping other's achieve theirs when I already had that mapped, helped to ensure that they may help me accordingly on the next map I needed if they happened to have the same level of understanding.

Some of the members of this community...I just don't understand; whatever.

I think that's a good idea. Either a fixed time period, or the actual duration of the match you DC'd from. So you can't drop again until it's over, whether you play or not. Have it only during an event, as you say, and have an opt-out so as not to annoy those who don't care about the event (so they could drop and play as normal, but their results while opted out will not count towards event goals).

Probably a billion exploits I haven't thought of, but it seems like a decent idea at first glance :)

Won't stop ppl from kamikaz'ing or overheating or running oob. This even was badly designed plain and simple. No fix or patch can cure this ill, maybe just an event extension to make up for it.

Goodbye %25 of player base.. good idea, punish the players for a PGI mistake.

How about punish players for abuse of an exploit?

It does NOT matter if PGI made an error. That is no excuse for breaking rules you agreed to.

How about some damned personal accountability and responsibility? What other BS line you going to spew to justify cheating? It's just a game? I'm here to have fun? If PGI didn't force me to cheat by allowing the bug I would not have?

You should really think about that statement.

If your using a GD cell phone to play FPS sim games online, maybe it is time to rethink the games you play or actually get up to speed with the 90's.

Maybe save on that data plan and get a real internet connection from this century.

Countless matches got screwed up by this event...
When your team mates disconnect, even if you get lucky to get to the map you need - fighting at the end 1 vs 10 is not helping to achieve 400.
It is very typical in last couple of days:

I did, that is why I wrote it.

The more people who disconnect, the longer it takes everyone.

Those who disconnected to try and get the map they needed, may end up in a map they needed only to find others had disconnected as well, and not achieve the goal regardless.

There have even been posts about that, too.

Ignorance is the right word to use here; egocentric is the other.

LOL

You are going to go real far in life with that falsehood ringing in your ears.

LOL, it's ok to break the rules if someone made a mistake.

OMFG, you are awesome! Thank you for the best laugh I have had in a loooong time.

Woah, I forgot to put in a disclaimer. I haven't done any disconnecting (haven't played since Saturday even).

But I don't see how punishing players for attempting to complete the challenge in the most time effective manner makes sense.

PGI should have stopped this madness and made their maps on a set rotation, no randomness, just one map after the other.

At least the grind would have some light at the end of the tunnel.

I understand that seeing disconnects upsets people but it is the direct result of the tournament. (I don't see regular disconnects during non event times)

edit; TLDR i don't condone disconnects, but shouldn't PGI take some responsibility?

Really?

I mean, REALLY?

Do you even think about these question before you ask them?

I wonder...

How does a multi billion dollar company do something with vast resources, budget, and manpower do that another with none of those assets does not?

Any question why I give two sailing schlitz about the "rules" that didn't qualify 300.

You miss my point, if the already low player base count gets thinned due to a ****** event, then the remaining %75 will have also been punished.

So who wins?

Well 9 maps you have a 1:81 chance of getting what you need.

It is Monday so maybe I am missing something, but how are you getting a 1:81 chance?
