South Florida, ha i wish, Raigmore Hospital in Inverness Scotland is my place of treatment, sunshine you say, what the hell is that? lol.
Yeah the isolation drove me up the wall, Sean Lang and Cattra Kells videos helped me not lose my mind, i couldn't read due to the chemo causing bruising on my retinas, and all i would see while trying to focus on a book was lots of bright pretty colours where the words should have been.
Oh and Baby Metal, lots of Baby Metal! (yeah i'm a weird) Actually, some of the younger nurses and consultants dug what i was listening to.

Wow. That's rough. I was given eye drops, but i think that was not to counteract the bruising and to keep me from going blind in general. So I'm assuming your in remission? I was relatively young when I was diagnosed.....36. So your out of the clink right now? Crossing my fingers that your bone marrow biopsy comes back clean. Are you able to play MWO now? Look me up online and we can do some drops.

And Ill see if I can send some of this South Fla sun your way!

Turns out I am better at judging my tier than playing this game, tier 2 here as I expected.

I just had a 75 damage match where my PSR rating went up. Got a kickass UAV, got focused and nearly killed early on. We won.
Edit: Followed by a good match for me personally with a derpy team that didn't gain me any points, with me as the last survivor on conquest with 500 or so damage and 4 kills.

Tier 4, ~80% to Tier 3. Pretty much what I expected considering the last four months have consisted of:

- Leveling Stalkers (ugh)
- Leveling Grasshoppers (lots of build experimentation)
- Leveling Novas I've neglected. (i.e. fun builds like pop-Nova)
- Leveling Shadow Cats (low kills, high scouting)
- Leveling Arctic Cheetahs (better kills, lower damage)
- Leveling Orions (ugh)
- Leveling Atlases (UGH)
- Leveling Maulers. (meh)
- Streak Summoners hunting Cheetahs right after their release (fun).
- Brawling build on Hellbringer (fun, sometimes productive).
- Various medium mechs (ENF & HBK mainly, my favorite mechs).
- Playing Panther when light Q is below 15% (fast becoming my best mech, oddly enough).

I'd say I've spent 75% of the time in the group queue. I've had a lot of fun not worrying about my Tier level, and will continue to do so.

Tier 4 about a pixel from 3, but I haven't played much this year except for the odd tournament. My stats say I have a 814 / 674 W/L and 1.71 K/D so I'm a bit disappointed I got stuck at 4, but I assume I'll be climbing up quickly :P

Considering there were 25,000 people playing in the public queue last weekend there are probably at least 5000 tier 1 players going around. Not all tier 1's are good players and neither are all lower tier players necessarily worse. As there are no seperate stats for solo and group games, people who play primarily solo are probably going to advance a lot more slowly than those who regularly teammup with solid teams.

If it follows a standard ELO curve (probably doesn't?) or at least something close to it, then it shouldn't be a linear system. It should be either a hyperbolic curve that peaks at 3, if 3 is average, or a curve that starts at 5. This is only if averages are taken into account though. It could just be a flat point system like you see in Hearthstone, in which case everything I said is moot and there's no way to tell how many people are rank whatever, and anyone could theoretically reach rank 1 if they play long enough

Lower end of Tier 3, just as expected since I'm still not done levelling some new mechs.
A bit surprised though, since I was in a match with Sarlic 2 weeks ago. Maybe PSR dind't kick in bach then?

tier 4
I will admit I thought I'd be tier 3 but I'm fine with it. I've been tearing it up lately. I'm loving not being matched up with top tier players

High Tier...............5

Guess I've spent too much time leveling joke mechs.

And with my current play time, moving up would be slow going if I decided to do something about it.

I discount the lot of them. During the drop bug large numbers of players got Death star and Ace of spades PGI said they would delete the DeathStars gotten by exploit but a clown this weekend openly admitted to his being gotten by the bug and put it on his tag like it meant something.

I must have dropped into those bugged matches twenty times but it never occurred to me to inflate what I wasn't to begin with so I just discoed.

I think it truly goes to character when your such a douche to do that.

Low tier score doesn't mean you are not any good, just means you are not competitive, I am very low tier but have had many over thousand damage games, I also have the ACE of Spades which was legit, your logic is faulty, I guess being good at a game doesn't necessarily mean you have a high IQ.

Pretty funny how someone is going to discredit another with faulty logic and speculated assumptions.

As the epeen polishing based on tiers begins, I think this is an important point to remember: there are no tier awards for character.

no kidding, major douche having the nerve to call someone else a douche unimaginable, lol.

Tier 4.

Solo dropper, mostly light 'Mechs, piloting fun builds rather than meta.

I didn't even realize there was a progress bar. Now I'm curious to see where I am in the tier.

Well, just as I assumed, Mid Tier 2. Granted I PUG pretty much every time I play, havent actually dropped in a game since like May and typically play my Awesomes or mechs like Cataphracts. I'll take it.

Tier 4 checking in!

Locked and loaded with sub-optimal asymmetric builds, impatient and aggressive play (that might be the beer, but I heard that's a buff to skill), dropping with my 2-3 man unit in group que, and a penchant for narcing and spotting against all recommendations... we can't all help our addictions.

Serious note- about where I expected, thought perhaps T3, but figured probably T4. I'll be interested to see how the progress bar changes (or doesn't) as I continue my usual play style. Stay the same, or go up? Played a bit last night and it was all upward progress, hmmm.

PS- nice to see the attitudes in this thread, one of the few all positive threads I've read in a bit :)

I am tier 3 and right in the middle of tier 3 ... I am so average you couldn't pick me out of a line up.
