First off is how detailed they plan on making mechs and mechwarriors. I am glad that they are not afraid to adding complexity.
Secondly, I am curious how Permadeath will figure in the game, especially one that may involve hundreds of hours of gametime. Is Permadeath only for the campaign, or will it always be a threat?

If yes I wait and see how steep the pay-wall and the play-wall will be on this game before I invest a cent.
Rumors are it will not become a FTP game but I think I still prefer to wait and see and buy after release.
But good luck and all the best from heart for your fund raising campaign.

It's not a rumour. They've downright said its not a free to play game.

yes but the SP campaign does not even get made until the 1 mill dollar mark , i would pay for the Mercenary Campaign the 1.85 mill mark but i have little interest in a random Skirmish mode etc

Really hoping for it though.

I agree, I want more than a skirmish mode as well. By pledging though, I'm hoping to help push it past that 1.85 mark within 35 days. Its just the gamble i'm taking, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Just ignore him, it's a shitposter. Occasionally dumps a one liner and leaves the thread.
I've been watching too much Trailer Park Boys lately. I thought of Mr. Laney when I read "sh*tposter". Lol.
"Feel that? The way the sh*t clings to the air? There is a sh*t storm blowing in!"

look how ridiculously dumbed down customization is. like I said its for babies...
Umm. looks like the same thing as MWO, just a different base UI.
Although, MWO doesn't have the different types on weapons that are being displayed in the picture. Defiance 'Mech Hunter Autocannon. Defiance B3M Medium lasers. So, does that mean MWO is for babies?

It's called a concept art. You'll literally be able to modify actuators in this game. It will also be following TT rules provided by Catalyst Game Labs. If anything, this game will make customization of MWO feel like for babies.

and? I think that's a good idea, that way we don't get people complaining that it takes X number of clicks to do x function and such.

Don't think that'll happen with them.
They're pretty good at making games, and I'd seriously doubt they'd make the same mistake as IGP did.
