I went all House Scion, so now I begin the self debate Davion or Kurita, Davion or Kurita, hmmm.....

I have the same quandary. It's a tough choice. Though the example art they've given is for DCMS.

It would be awesome if we got to keep our mechs and got to replay the campaigns and stuff with all our new tech and stuff. say we get a Warhammer late in the game, we could re run the story but now have that mech. I always hated in Mechcommander how we get Warhawks in the last 2 missions but then only get to use it in the final assault on the starport. Yes, yes, i know, firestorm steals one and we get that, but how awesome would it be to use it from the get go!?

I alos kinda hope the story campaign ends up being somewhat random and new.

Well, you'd better hope (and possibly contribute) to them getting to stage 3 ($1.85M) then:

BattleTech Kickstarter said:

The STAGE 3 EXPANDED MERCENARY CAMPAIGN puts you in full control of your life as a Mercenary. The campaign becomes open-ended, allowing you to charter JumpShip transport for your mercenary outfit when needed - travel to various hot-zones across the Periphery and Inner Sphere. You’ll be able to choose your contracts and alliances, with both the Great Houses and other subfactions within the Inner Sphere.

Over time, the missions you choose to accept and the objectives competed in those missions will determine your reputation as a mercenary. Your reputation will affect the contracts and contract terms you may be offered in the future. But be wary: each Great House - and in some cases, each House representative - can have their own agendas, sometimes leading you into bad deals or deadly betrayals.

To support this open-ended Mercenary career, STAGE 3 adds a wide variety of “side-contracts” in addition to the story campaign, as well as a procedural contract-generation system to ensure that you always have fresh contracts available, wherever your Mercenary career may take you.

Five little words: open-ended campaign, procedurally generated content. :)

Well, I've always been a FedCom man. So, is it Davion or Steiner for me. There is the cool cartoon with Adam Steiner...1st Somerset Strikers...hmm. Then again, MechWarrior 4 made Steiner out to be evil Pr*cks, so should I go the more upright Davions?

Decisions...decisions.

Well it's easy for an entire nation to be made into evil ****** when you've got a woman that makes Machiavelli look like a saint in charge of the nation.

Katherine was the worst thing to happen to the Inner Sphere since the Clans.

AeroTech is to be included with that $250k mark, according to the livestream last night.

The novels made all of the Steiner leadership out to be ******** while their common troops tended to just be "following orders."

I am working on the DCMS uniform, so I might go with Davion because of that.

Not in this time period - its Katrina and Melissa as the ruler and her heir :)

Backer #: 591
Pledge: $125

I'm really only getting that tier it for that sick fabric banner and hat... lol
Now... just which faction to choose.... I'll probably be going Steiner just because of my german background. I don't know the whole backstories of any of them.

I would have gone for the jacket, but with all the patches on it, it looks like a sponsor covered nascar uniform... but I like the coat itself hrm. Torn.

Well 4th Succession War is a good time for them to kick off this game.

And that's true, hope the storyline lets us play out the Davion assault on the Liao border and steal some territory.

As long as they generate the 1.85 or so they need for a fully fleshed out Mercenary campaign, I'm good!

I think they will, but this is crucial for me. I get the feeling Jordan is so amped up and ready to make [play] this game that he will put pretty much all of the features in as long as we get close.

Only Single Player and, potentially, PvP Multiplayer.
No Co-Op Mode.
I dunno... Would have liked to play this with my friends.
