After less than 24 hours, that's amazing. I wonder if they'll add more stretch goals if it's going to come close to punching out all the time cards. Could it be that the majority of backers will hit it early, having been forewarned about it? Or could news of the early success being reported on gaming sites gather more support as the campaign continues? Do harebrained have any of the usual Kickstarter lures like early gameplay videos up their sleeves to unleash at the midway point?
Nice. Happy that it's doing this well so far. I bet Jordan is chuffed

I daresay it's already hit that, and then some - remember, PayPal isn't included in the running total on the KS page, usually until the end of the campaign.

As of yet I don't believe they have anything gameplay related. They haven't really truly begun work on it as far as I know.

Yeah they said they're about 3 months into pre-production and working on at least stage one since they put a million into that themselves. It is my sincerest hope that we can get at least 5-8 million dollars in order to not only bypass the 4th stage but do so in a spectacular fashion. They get a return on their one million and we add so much more to that and make this game (and it's expansion/sequels since that seems to be their MO, which I LOVE,) incredibly solid.
It's exciting to see how much it'll hit in those 34 days especially as the paypal numbers start hitting the counter!

And they don't have to create 100's of (very time consuming) Mech Chassis from scratch. PGI looked after that.

I do hope they at least make SOME mechs that aren't in MWO.
Like the quads.
And maybe the Hatchetman.
And a Vulcan
Assassin would be cool too.

$30USD says that happens.

Such a brilliant financial move, as the art of MW:O is simply stellar and (to me,) the only good thing about the game! I love Alex's designs (and Shimmering Swords, from the Table Top) as well as the new crop from the Battletech art crew. Hoping it means that the Battletech games aren't relegated to waiting on MW:O to produce mech concepts from Alex/etc, but it looks like that's what they're doing initially. Hoping if backing gets high enough we'll see the entire TRO (classics included, no quads,) and it'll be amazing!

NEED A LITTLE TRIM OFF THE TOP, SIR? (Also, this is how the final backer mission will be achieved! Cuts beards and Battlemechs!)

No, I INSIST!!

Have to have the Hatchetman...or we can't eventually do this!!!
