I'm hoping for a stage 3 worth of funding. I think that it would make the game so worth it even more to play over and over. Customizing the mechs sounds pretty awesome from what I read. Sorry. But MWO wanna pull something sweet by the end of this year. Russ stating he "can't wait" to share nov/Dec stuff with us seems rather....scary. bring on battle tech. So can't wait!!!!!! Argh! !! I hate new game hype. Sends me bonkers.

SO FREAKING CLOSE!

After less than 24 hours, that's amazing. I wonder if they'll add more stretch goals if it's going to come close to punching out all the time cards. Could it be that the majority of backers will hit it early, having been forewarned about it? Or could news of the early success being reported on gaming sites gather more support as the campaign continues? Do harebrained have any of the usual Kickstarter lures like early gameplay videos up their sleeves to unleash at the midway point?

Nice. Happy that it's doing this well so far. I bet Jordan is chuffed :)

I daresay it's already hit that, and then some - remember, PayPal isn't included in the running total on the KS page, usually until the end of the campaign.

As of yet I don't believe they have anything gameplay related. They haven't really truly begun work on it as far as I know.

Yeah they said they're about 3 months into pre-production and working on at least stage one since they put a million into that themselves. It is my sincerest hope that we can get at least 5-8 million dollars in order to not only bypass the 4th stage but do so in a spectacular fashion. They get a return on their one million and we add so much more to that and make this game (and it's expansion/sequels since that seems to be their MO, which I LOVE,) incredibly solid.

It's exciting to see how much it'll hit in those 34 days especially as the paypal numbers start hitting the counter!

I'm pretty sure the Kickstarter counter doesn't include Paypal users, if it did, we'd probably be over the 1 mill

Assuming the bulk of purchases will be in the first couple weeks we should see two more decent bumps this weekend and next from people getting paid Wed-Fri this weekend and next. I know when I get paid on Friday I will be buying at least the $275 package, and there will probably be others that purchase then or at the very least upgrade current packages. Either way I think it is looking good so far.

And they don't have to create 100's of (very time consuming) Mech Chassis from scratch. PGI looked after that. ;)

I do hope they at least make SOME mechs that aren't in MWO.

Like the quads.
And maybe the Hatchetman.
And a Vulcan
Assassin would be cool too.

$30USD says that happens.

(Haven't forgotten about the upgrade Juodas)

Release date set at early 2017. So a year and a half to go give or take. That's pretty awesome. Specially since they've already funded skirmish I dare say this game is in some form of production already. The additional funds from Kickstarter etc will just add more content for all of us. So can't wait for this game. Excited x100000000000000000

Such a brilliant financial move, as the art of MW:O is simply stellar and (to me,) the only good thing about the game! I love Alex's designs (and Shimmering Swords, from the Table Top) as well as the new crop from the Battletech art crew. Hoping it means that the Battletech games aren't relegated to waiting on MW:O to produce mech concepts from Alex/etc, but it looks like that's what they're doing initially. Hoping if backing gets high enough we'll see the entire TRO (classics included, no quads,) and it'll be amazing!

Right before it digs into you.

NEED A LITTLE TRIM OFF THE TOP, SIR? (Also, this is how the final backer mission will be achieved! Cuts beards and Battlemechs!)

No, I INSIST!!

Have to have the Hatchetman...or we can't eventually do this!!!

No thanks :P I mean, I don't care if they get added but I'd be just as ok without. Here's hoping again that the funding helps make for a more robust but solid game than what the basic stages claim
