Still not a fan on how dependent they seem to be on PGI's roster.
I get the whole "aesthetic-consistency" thing, but i mean there are 'mechs that PGI will NEVER add, so why can't HBS just make up their own designs for them?
I may or may not be talking about quadrupeds.

Simply because it saves them money I guess.

And if the Project Phoenix 2 Pack that most of us anticipate seeing someday (probably well in advance of May 2017) is announced with 4 more 3025 age mechs, then we really aren't missing many of the important ones.

Well, two legged ones anyways ;)

Except for mediums, 40 tonners like the Vulcan, Whitworth, Assassin, Hermes II, Clint, also 55 ton Dervish and Assaults, Cyclops and Charger.
And don't forget the Ost-mechs (which aren't unseen even anymore, the original images of them were deemed different enough to not be unseen)

I'd trade all of those mechs for the quads though

Out of those mechs though I would argue that really only the Assassin and Dervish have any real amount of nostalgia amongst most fans.

Theres been a pretty huge boost so far today. Valhalla success?

I'm pretty sure even the Whitworth has its fair share of fans.

Just look at this sketch of him, by Alex.

Oh I can't deny. I always want more mechs, even though I've barely got half of them (if that) and not enough money nor time to grind C-bills for more.

I know how you feel. So many mechs, so little time.
(I blame the moronic 3-mech rule, which should be removed along with the whole skill system, because it's broken beyond repair)

I honestly don't mind the three mech rule with most mechs. However, there are a few where I just end up with the same build or damn similar anyways. When the hardpoints are varied its nice.

Skill system is still bollocks though.

Curious thing about add-on blueprints: while Mad Cat looks totally same as in 1991 blueprints (maybe refreshed a bit, but still no myomers), and Battlemaster is exact copy of blueprint from recent Tech Kit (with myomers), I have no idea where Warhammer came from. It's definetely not the old Warhammer from 1986-91 blueprints (different arms, SRM6 rack is horizontal instead of vertical), but there are still no myomers. Any idea of this blueprint origin?

It is the new design, Catalyst Game Labs developed together with Ironwind Metal Miniatures:

Would be weird, if there will be no myomers in new Warhammer blueprint after 2013 Battlemaster with them.

Technically, it's been funded since day 1; they only needed $250,000 for that. What we've done today is reach the final stretch goal.

Either way, I'm with you on the "can't wait" part :)

Yep. Everything funded. I know a lot of people were worried it wouldn't reach all the goals when they saw things slow down after the initial rush, but like everyone who's ever followed any kickstarters can tell you that's normal. There's practically always a big rush at the start and the end of a campaign with a long, slow period in the middle. It's pretty much the way one expects these things to go by now.

Also, thanks to the backer mission sidegoals we get a new Battletech Novel (rather than several short novellas) by Michael Stackpole, presumably set in the 3025 era again!

Wow, really a big surge at the end, 216.000 yesterday, and that's although it's already past all stretch goals. Looking really good for Coop-Campaign. With like 200.000 in excess that should be doable :)

With two hours left the total is just dollars away from 2.8 million - 300,000 for polish and the post-live co-op team :)
