...I am glad people spend a zillion dollars on whatever. That's great. I'm not jealous. I just dislike where the pricing of gaming and the way they are being produced is heading.
Like, mobile gaming. Lets look at that for a split sec. We had so much hope. It held so much promise. To break so many moulds and progress things. And yet, almost a decade later, look at what we ended up with.

I don't doubt it will hit the first bit of Tier 3. The question for a lot of people is will it get PVP as many won't back until it either hits that goal or it gets close.

Piranha hasn’t created a Cyclops yet, AFAIK. That’s a major factor in our ‘Mech list.
Hey brad chandler >>>I love that your using PGI mech designs however many of them break lore for gameplay reasons.<<<
We’re using the models, not the loadouts, brad.

It's kind of a bummer, that they're limiting the roster to just the ones PGI made...
Mostly because PGI skipped out on a lot of my favorite 'mechs, like the Vulcan. (Heck, MWO, has only a single 40 ton 'mech! while, for example, we have 5x50 tonners (6, if we count Clans too).
I mean, damn it, just hire Alex to throw out concepts for the rest of the 'mechs! (I know it's not that easy, but COME ON! Getting a full mech roster, for me would be a higher priority than some PvP arena mode...)

On the other hand, this means we may get an evolving roster of mechs as PGI releases them. I'm kinda okay with that option.

Also, reuse is a great thing, it helps speed up development when code reuse happens, so same should be true of 3d model reuse.

And to be frank, assuming the 2017 Spring launch date holds true, we'll likely get another project Phoenix Pack, another Resistance Wave and probably a few more unseen solo packs more into MWO by that time.

Anyway, about $110,000 away from the Mercenary goal. I hope we can make it to $2.5m. Honestly, it looks a bit bleak if these past few days are any indication.
So, if you love Battletech and plan on contributing to the Kick starter but haven't yet, don't forget to help the cause!

Yeah I'm not thrilled it got moved out of GD. That is where 90% of the forum traffic is.

We should be at (or close to) $1.75m by the end of tonight. Raising $1.85 is matter of when and not if. I'm thinking by early to mid next week. Maybe 6~7 days from now.

You would have thought the moderator would have waited until after the Kickstarter was finished before moving the thread.

Kickstarter @ $1,711,091
Paypal @ 42,650
Which means we're just around 100K to go to reach Stage 3!

I'll be pretty happy when it reaches $1.85m. I'm curious to see what the stretch goals might be. Maybe it will help fuel a bit more contributions too. Who knows.
I just hope that we can get to the PvP goal. If not, I at least hope the Merc stretch goals are met. I'd hate to see something cool that we miss by coming up short.

I think this feature on Kicktraq has a much more likely projection than their other ones. Depending on the last day or two's final rush anyways.

I have some ****** scans of them as well, but the quality increase and colour images....
Damn. Damn damn damn. Gonna have to find $140 more in the next 19 days.
On the other hand this alone could help the kickstarter reach PVP goal.
