We’ll do our best! I tried to maintain their value throughout the MechCommander games as well. One of the ways we did it was to give MechWarriors skill bonuses with different ‘Mech classes. Another was to differentiate their sensors to give them more value on the battlefield. Jordan’s got more ideas on that, of course…

Stick with me - you’ll see why in a minute. One of the things I love about being on the writing team is actually writing on *this* team. That’s because we all “bring something to the party” and make each other better writers through our ridiculously high level of collaboration. Jordan’s the big idea guy. McCain’s the narrative design/structure guy. Andrew’s the brilliant intellectual situation and amazing character guy. Tyler’s the cool use of canon in new ways guy. And I’m the character motivation guy, I guess. I tell you this so you see that structure is only one piece out of the storytelling pie. I could tell you the structure McCain’s exploring, but by itself, it’s kind of irrelevant and easy to pick apart. Until the scaffolding/structure is supported by plot, character, conflict, situation, and motivation and further supported by visual and audio design, it’s just… bones. Sorry for the long-winded response. I just love this stuff and I think it’s part of the fun of running a Kickstarter.

Is it wrong to want to throw a couple Panthers with Inferno rounds to try and shut down+cockpit something bigger?


I may be able to catch tomorrow's Stream/Q&A. I'll try to get Infernos and early Salvage limitations.

0 interest in TB Multi player, if it is PVP, it tends to be dominated by go slow human tactics where players deliberately slow their turns down to frustrate the opponent or simply DC from a losing battle to not go thru the loss.( ever take a couple of minutes to get a match and then have a opponent DC after he thinks he might lose after the first turn ? yeah happens A LOT ) Coop multi player also tends to be equally as unlikely as organizing a TB game is usually beyond the capability of most folk.

HBS just posted that one of the reasons they partnered with PGI was so they could use the customizable geometry system for weaponry.

Cogitate on that as either a blessing or a curse as you will. I'm rather happy about it because they can use the system itself to jump off and due slightly different weapon models.

Maybe HBS will do their own equipment models, and those models will get ported back to MWO.

Check your mail. From FAQ you only get a recipe from Paypal and not HBS games.

Which sounds about righ as i only got one recipe via e-mail from Paypal.

There are no Clan ‘Mechs in the game yet but the BattleTech universe spans hundreds of years and in success, we plan to include them in later installments.

A lot of stuff to read, so I ask here:

Does anyone know which rule set will be taken? Level 1, level 2, maxtech?

Or are they planning to add easy(lev1)/medium(lev2)/hard(maxtech) mode in the game, by selecting it on option screen?

So you got your confirmation mail. That's good i suppose. Next thing? I only paid so far via that Paypal link and i didnt register or anything. So i have no idea. I have no account whatsoever.

My guess it will stay this way untill you get a e-mail to set up a account for Beta.

But you can always try asking in comment section.

Make sure to start your question with HEY HBS! in caps and then followed by your question.
