Kind of like a Bushwacker. :D

My thought, looks a lot like a Bushwacker.

My hope for it is it looks very compact for a 50 tonner.

PGI i love you again. This geometry is awesome. Just like in lore - guerilla fighter. Perfect work this time. New year will be awarded by waves of Crabs, King crabs and Maruaders going to exterminate clans.

Yup, as predicted, now that the scale comparison is up, people have stopped complaining about the hitboxes and others (like me) are complaining that the mf-ing thing is going to be a pain to try and hit. Is the Wolfhound going to follow this trend and be the same size as an Urbanmech? Time will tell!

How stupid. I though it would be larger and gave the entire pack a go... now I missed out on the early bird rewards... so... no thanks....

The low profile makes up for the long snout. Its not actually smaller than a hunchback.
I like the idea and design.

This is one of them mechs that doesn't matter whether it's standard or XLS engine.

I'd say XLS all the way, your ct will get shot either way.

Have you seen the Stalker? If this thing gets the same kind of hitbox the CT is the last thing to be hit.
Hitboxes will make or break the crab.

I would be happy to, if you can direct me to a King Crab location one of the testing grounds. Flew around River City and Forest Colony and couldn't find one. Let me know!

I don't think I've ever seen one.

Does anyone else know if there is a King Crab in the testing grounds?

There isn't one, but you can bring one in - whatever mech you spawn into the academy grounds with will remain on the left side of the founder Atlas dude (I use this to have an actual in-game view of my mech's camos). So then the problem is that there isn't a Crab in the academy grounds :)

Did you notice that only the Early Bird Variant has Jump Jets?

I pondered just now about getting 2 Tiers of Resistance 2 than I saw that they hide the best variant as an Early Bird variant. Waiting for cBill Release, same for Origins Collection because I'm no tool, PGI.

More's the pity: It looks like a really nice mech.

@Rando Slim: Dude... First off you need to chill out... like a lot... Second, there are so many mechs that people want that will be bad no matter what you do that it's not even funny.

The 50t Crab is one of my absolute favorite mechs from the table-top game, and I'm very excited to see it in game. I fully realize that it will not be "meta" and will likely have dumb hit-boxes. You know what though? I couldn't care less. I play this game to have fun.

If you are playing for competition, then mechs like this aren't even remotely important to you. In fact, the only ones you should be caring about in the competitive tier are the 35t,55t,75t,100t clan mechs. PGI isn't releasing "DoA" mechs because they're dumb, they're releasing them because they're smart. We want the bad mechs because they're interesting, or we have some connection to them from the table-top.

On that note, I would love it if they released a mech like the Charger, which was the only 80t scout mech ever. It's a total joke of a mech and even more useless than the Urbanmech, and that's saying something. I would still love to see it because it's interesting. You can't put everything up against the competitive scene in Mechwarrior. Mech's just don't work that way.

P.S. :Paragraphs are your friend...

Charger would actually be great in MWO
