While I can review changes in my game play I have no explanation why so many of my games are lost with nothing due to my part (mainly the stomps where i can not directly affect teammates gameplay)

You PUGging. Be more concerned with your performance than the team as a whole. If you pulled your weight and the team failed you still had a good game.

MM IS fouled up, and PGI need to treat it as a matter of top priority. The kind of one-sided stomps I'm seeing (both winning and losing, though with a VERY clear majority of the latter) will very quickly put off any new players if Steam release occurs. The current low population in MWO is not an excuse for these game results .. after all there were 24 players, and in a solo game they could have been assigned to the teams differently, producing a closed result.

I do feel bad for the guy though, it really sucks to have that many losses streak up - more so when your team is actually showing up and not just because of a poorly designed event with 4 people d/c or suiciding immediately.

yes it made me sad yesterday i pwn a person and then he tells me he's tier5 that's not fair
how is it tier2 and tier5 even playing?



it seems the game punishes everyone equally and just as badly when it sets you up to win or fail only to confirm or deny the "matchmaker predictions" this 'predictions' system should have been gone with the first iteration of elo; but it seems to be driving even psr matchmaking

I don't think it actually tries to predict or make the 50/50 anymore. Just throws together matches, first come first served with relatively little limitations.

Well I can report that last night was better for me with around 7-10 matches won. MM you slippery confusing little devil you may not be borked and it may all be in my head!

I think the game was more balanced Before the PSR. Most every game now is 12-3 12-0 12-6 and 12-6 is a good game most of the time.. Very rare to see 12-8 12-11 game

I find the MM does chew me up badly - seems to depend on time of day, and in some cases weight class as well. And in really rare cases - if I keep using the same mech over and over for the same matches.

MM gave me a stunning beating today.

Ive been doing well all week in Tier 4. Getting good scores and performing well in all of my mechs.

But today I hit Tier 3 and the very first match I got devastated. It was as if I had no armor at all and was shooting rainbows. These guys were hitting me like freight trains with impeccable aims. Get shot two times and half my HBR would be gone. It was amazing the difference it was from Tier 4 to Tier 3.

And I was being cautious. I knew Tier 3 was going to be tough and Ive never been the Rambo rush in style player so I was trying to be as tactical as I could. Not exposing myself and picking my shots and all that. It didnt help at all.

Of course me and my PSR get get pummeled back down to Tier 4 (thankfully) where I thought things would get back to normal for me. But nope. MM wasnt done with me and Ive been getting woefully and impressively stomped all day.

I seemed to have angered the MatchMaking Gods

Just came out of a game where atleast 3 players said they were new, and were asking what buttons were certain controls and stuff like that, totally lopsided match.
This has been gradually getting worse for the last week, time to display player tiers at the start of the game so we can see and record how utterly garbage your match making is.
