Loved Atlas in CB and open beta. Since the Direwolf have pretty much left it parked. This is going to be painful. :-] I'll be running whatever trial assaults are there until I get enough cash to buy an Atlas.

The Atlas is pretty much a giant walking bullseye nowadays, but the rebalance is going to make it a tank again in December.

Was working on getting enough cbills for the victor and now it looks like the trial victor got removed from the rotation...noooo! Gonna have to drive something else until I get enough cbills now. Bah.

At least they did put the atlas in so now atlas pilots can use their mech...you could always just use the stormcrow and arctic cheetah trials to speed up the money making process

I will make an exception for assault mech challengers, to allow you to use whichever IS trial Assault is available until you have enough Cbills to purchase your first Challenge mech variant. Once you have purchased your first Challenge mech variant, then you need to stop using the temporary trial assault and use your Challenge mech (yes stock if necessary).

FYI - I am having a hell of a time leveling my non ECM Commandos, so I don't want to hear any complaining about running a stock assault mech for a few games, this is all part of the challenge.

Working on my 1D, I have yet to buy my third variant, my 2D already has all the basics unlocked. The main problem I have is dueling the OP light mechs like the Firestarters, Arctic Cheetahs, Spiders and Wolfhounds.

I would recommend 1B for your third. And play escort to the fatties as opposed to scout or spotter in the non ecm commandos.

Well, the good news is I am only 1 kill away from an even 1.00 KDR. I am just hoping to not dig myself into too deep of a hole before I can get at least a fully elited mech to use

So, basic´d 2 of my 3 Panthers (10k+10p). They have both over 10k XP in the bank, so that i can skill up Speedtweek
further mentions:
- finally bought the engine for my 3rd panther
- after the match (which gave me enough money for that engine) it made "bingbing", and im T3 now
- Stats: 10K: k/d 1,59 (27 kills in 29 matches), 10P 0,92 (23 kills in 38) , 9R 1.0 (1 kill in 1 match )

so far so good

My favorite build for that mech was an LB10X, 2 ML, Standard 275 w/ HS, Endo Steel, DHS, Ferro (all but .56 tons), 1 ton LB10X ammo. It is still not as good as the AL, or AH, but you can zombie and will never overheat.

On cabusha2, got the AS7-RS unlocked the other night. Currently running 2xLPL 2xML AC-20, standard 350 and a bunch of heatsinks. Actually enjoying it so far!

I got a Panther! That's actually not too far off for me. I ran my 10K for a good while on this account (1.93 kdr for it). Regardless, I made a new pilot, Soviet Star, and am going to run this challenge.

I managed to elited 2 variant AL and AH and doing ....but.....the A is a problem for me too.
The fact is that being space-poor I've bought only one engine 275xl, and now I'm farming to buy seismic, because I'm tired to "have surprise" behind a wall, or behind me.
My problem with the A variant, is that while I can brawl well with AL and AH variants, the 275xl in a problem with a support mech like the A variant.
