This event is akin to your kids walking up to someone's door for candy and being turned away because they weren't good enough to get any.

More like they were invited to a costume party where costume were required.

Only they showed up just wearing a mask and were turned away for not even being able to do the bare minimum.

Funny that you complain you cannot get a 250 score when it is nearly the bare minimum to stay even on a loss. Why are you not complaining that you always go down in PSR because you cannot make enough points to stay even.

Sorry this is not a participation event again.

Out of date trolling is out of date.

The point of events like this from PGI's standpoint is to bring players back and make the game fun and rewarding, but the event also results has the side effect of an increase in meta play. 250 is hard if you're a returning player in a field of cheetahs and Cauldron-Borns. You're not making any friends by hitting people with a requirements bat when they stick their head in for the first time in months. Lowering the requirement was savvy of PGI.

Thanks for lowering the requirements. :) Helps new players, and people in the higher tiers who may not want to use meta builds all weekend. I've got some new mechs to level up and I expect I'll be running into lots of Meta, so lower requirements = good.

Thx PGI for this event :P I really liked the old 200/250 scores as well but i guess a challenge would be a more suited name for that. Anyways thx and happy Halloween

A balanced attractive event (for both regular games and CW) that now gets better by lowering the required match score. Thanks and great idea :) ! No matter what type of gamers join in (because I´ve seen teamwork gets sometimes worse than other times), these are the events you get to enjoy. It is advised to change your usual gameplay and mechs though.

To Dan:
Think about the future of this game, when your are talking ******** about the mayority of players also paying for your game.
Do you think you can handel it without them?

Before the Matchescore Change 80Pts are enough and to handel! But now...

I'm not trying to be mean or anything. I apologize if it seemed that way. I'm just saying I don't get people's behavior.

Asking for a refund on a mech pack purchase because the Halloween event is too hard doesn't make sense to me.

Playing the game, taking the time and $$ to customize clan mechs etc. but refusing to learn basic piloting skills (like don't stand there and let a mech 3x your size shoot you in the face) doesn't make sense to me.

Complaining about free things that PGI gives you for playing the game doesn't make sense to me.

I want people to be able to enjoy the game as much as I do, and I am always willing to help folks learn and improve. It doesn't mean telling them to run metamechs endorsed gauss vomit builds or anything like that. I'm occasionally a little too sarcastic about things but there's a lot of people who confuse the heck out of me and sometimes I do run out of patience.

Pffft! 150 match score? Well that's hardly a challenge x3

I don't think it's unreasonable to set high goals... It doesn't really bother me that they lowered it... But, eh... Well, that just doubled my prizes thus far... No Timby yet.

This is an event. Not a challenge. Hence the much more reasonable score requirement.

well done PGI, 250 was a bit steep for a good proportion of the player base and this should be inclusive.

They changed it to 150 for CW and 100 for 12-man.... retroactively.

NOOOOOO, the whiners won!

Just because the stuff doesn't cost money doesn't mean it shouldn't take time and effort!

This is as bad as when they cut the criteria from 400 to 300 in the... whatever event it was where you needed 400 points in all the maps. I would have missed by one, but I worked hard to get there, and then "phhht" everybody gets it.

If it's free for everybody, what's the point of the event? Just give stuff away! ARRGH.

Well if you want the challenge you could always limit yourself. Just don't redeem any prizes from matches where you've scored less than 250. Also flog yourself with a hamster while playing for extra challenge.

Get out. Seriously, just get out.

This is supposed to be a fun event, and they are trying to make it more fun for more people.
