Good to see this on a good way - organised more then in beginning. Im constantly bringin some new players (which i met through FRR drops, or some in PUG Matches) too Friend invite you - write them back or invite them into the half-royal Kungs Reserve.

You will maybe get me too for some weeks - but atm some Clans have taken me bondsman - i will free myself with winning Mech bays :D

-best regards so far!

Hello all, and thanks for the responses.
We've taken to sending newer players that are faction-specific to the SO - Sons of Odin- for IS, and CWI for clans - good groups there. For those either needing starter mech bays or not ready to commit to a final faction as a loyalist, the Reserves is still the place to go ( in my humble opinion ).
Sorry for the lull, we had a break and then the Tukkyaid event dust is just now settling.

Currently, Kurita is next on our carnival ride, alongside several allied units - and good timing, there's some efforts to re-awaken that faction and their teamspeak hub.

The 2323's were doing formal traings, which are on pause, but we are training alongside the Sons on Sundays ( on the FRR server - frrts3.tk:9725, password: Dragon)...
and are about to renew our trainee vs trainee "scrimmages" with our counterparts in CWI.

Friend me in game, say hello, or Pudding Man - or find us on the hub above, or for the next two weeks, the House Kurita teamspeak: HouseKurita.tserverhq.com

Look forward to meeting and playing with you - and in the emnatime, we've found these very handy - informative and entertaining. And.. could have saved me, for one, alot of breath...

Do you guys have any presence in the Australia Time Zones. Sounds like the kind of thing I need. all I have so far is a firestarter, an arctic cheetah and a blackjack.

G'day mate fellow steam newbie here. I'm being trained by a Aussie/NZ/Oceanic group called Oceanic Merc Corp. PM me if you want thier TS details or use steams search function on the forum to find them.

Im BOR but I usually drop with friends in SO, that is a good place for the new guys. Great group.
Happy to see so many going FRR.
I would be willing to assist in the training and would benefit from working with some of the Ace pilots myself. Scout/support Lights and rocketry are my specialties.
Thanks for doing this, imho this is the best way to keep new players around.

I'm looking for help and people to play with. I had my first hat trick game today, but I'm pretty new. How do I sign up for training. I just really started, despite having a founder's pack.

G'day to all new players, there is also a section called community warfare where you can check out the different groups. There are faction houses or clans and merc groups, most of us have teams in all time zones. Please feel free to check them out. Good Luck and Have Fun see you soon on the battlefield.

I endorse this project wholeheartedly. New players need an educational and supportive environment to learn the ropes, now more than ever with the influx of steam players who need to be retained rather than scared off by being dropped right into the hot seat with bittervets yelling angry and nonconstructive things at them for not knowing what they are doing.

Well, once again, after a break for real life, I got entirely too into the game and ignored the forums ( not usually a bad idea, but in this case... )
Anyway, my apologies... As usual, friend us in game if you'd like to play.
I am trying to get new player training rooms in the teamspeaks we travel through - so far, they've been fairly resistant to the idea, or perhaps haven't yet seen the volume of new players to see the need. So far, there's the FRR Hub ( frrts3:tk:9725 pw: Dragon) which has a new player area and several guides for new players... and the Comstar Public channel ( ts address: 54.172.1.90 ) which has so always had the new player entry channels - both now include Kin3ticX's Basic Guide :
https://docs.google....d.g263f6502b_00
- which is also on the steam Forums, and permission was given to share on the other Teamspeaks. We'll see.

Love the idea. I'd be happy running with folk when ya'll drop under the same faction. Currently Clan wolf.

This will, of course, change from time to time.

Nice seeing you in match the other day - as to how it's going, well, as you see. I'm also unclear on where to send new guys that want to choose the clan side - and from some of my clanner frenemies, it doesn't sound like the clan sides have the unified "House" team speaks, so how to handle the new players that are attracted to being evil test tube baby national socialists is beyond me... I'm not quite clan-hating enough to say "not my problem" on them - but jokes aside, alot of people who are unfamiliar with lore might take them merely for the tech and shiny, as opposed to inner sphere " mad max rust buckets" - bot other than sending them to comstar and heimdal, not sure where to direct them ( CWI only clan unit i know that takes new players)

Tell you what, I'm in clan Jade Falcon, an may stay awhile. Whilest here, I'd be more'n happy to join with new folk. Just have em friend me or something, and when I'm not doing events, or running with my unit, I'll show em what I know.

Which mostly involves alotta brawling.

I've read some of your .. manuals on brawling <O>
- I'm trying to get Kinetc'x new player guides posted on ' new player channels' in the apporpriate team speaks - as in FRR where we started all this - I'm not sure where to send new players that want to play clan ( Teamspeak or unit- wise)
We had scheduled drops and trainings, sunday is the day we've been doing them with Sons of Odin.
Drop in some time!

Is the "organized tour" still going on or will it be for a while?

I decided when I started I wouldn't do CW until

1. I played regularly for 3 months
2. Had a mastered drop deck

Well, it's been about 3 months give or take and I have

1. 3 variants of Zeus All Mastered
2. 3 variants of Wolverine, all Mastered
3. 3 variants of Marauder, all mastered
4. 3 variants of Jenner, all Elited, 1 will Master this week or tonight

I'm spending the next week or so farming cbills to ensure they all are fully equipped (been sharing engines and weapons) but nearly there.

I want to give this CW thing a try, but honestly don't want to be a liability to a team by dropping solo pug in CW and screw over a team. I'm close to ready I hope, just wanted to see if there was still any planned "guided tours" of CW intro's for nervous guys like me :)

You could drop in all trials an not be a liablity by simply sticking with the team and trying. Get Team Speak, check out your Davion server and just ask groups if you can join. Or, break contract and join Mercier. Go, have fun.

Mercier, seems like you're trying to help the new players, applaud you for that. We've been posting our TS address for solo players to join us in the Kurita hub while we are here.

The match we played you earlier tonight on Grim, tough match for you guys but you did make an effort and actually did get them to push together which is a great start.

There are quite a few units that have played a long time that can't even get that critical part correct.

Once they get their drop decks and builds in order I'm sure they will have a blast if they aren't already.

Mercier is a great trainer too. Super friendly to chat with and I fully support this training group. He's got the patience to deal with new guys and we all just have a blast. Everyone's a noob at some point and depending on who you interact with can make or break a game for you. This made the game for me for sure. :D
