For most of this afternoon, voting was only done by around 57%, or less. Need more time for voting.

I think I've dropped a little over the $1500 mark since Founder's Inception... probably won't spend more on MWO for quite some time given the issues I've had playing and having DX issues with MWO and my GPU. Doesn't matter what Dev Support, Nividia, or general troubleshooting accomplishes... all in vain. Poor optimization, support takes too long (hence I've stopped submitting reports), error report feature fails half the time... but I can play other games with no issue that are just as graphics heavy or not... maybe Win10x64 is another issue with the latest problems I've had as it's been more prevalent since the most recent Win10 update. Maybe I'll just build a new PC with some of the latest gen tech and see what happens.

Skirmish needs to be redone with a single massive cap point on the battlezone pgi wants people to fight at. Then if people dont fight for it they lose by cap. So who cares if people hide? Obviously they have retreated and you won.

This is how you fix skirmish and the mode voting in one shot. Entitled and vindictive bbrawltards should be ignored if they think they are owed the right to shoot a gauss in anyones face if they cant find them and wont cap. Even with a single cap if they go searching so they can find the last survivor they can get the cap stolen on them.

If this was done i would not have any problem with mode voting because there is always a primary objective and the secondary objective of victory by kills. And reward them accordingly.

Tdm is boring and stupid console game design.

This is broken.

Sure we get a choice of maps now out of 4. Ok... but every time HPG or the Bog is a choice they get picked. While many might consider them the best maps - that's not the point of having a lot of maps. Variety is better. Eat nothing but tuna sandwiches for a month straight and you'll get sick of 'em eventually. Besides, other people may not like the Arena style play - a more natural map might suit their aesthetic better but odds of getting a map they like now just dropped.

Go back to fully random maps please. Or maybe group them different based on types of maps. For instance all the hot maps s you'll have to drop into a hot map - same for cold maps etc. Even better do what you said over a year ago and tell us the random map before we pick our mech!

Gamemode, what a Charlie Foxtrot that is. Now the people who really only like a certain type of play (doesn't matter which I'm not judging) are now forced into one they might hate. Yeah but we have a choice between two you say? We had a choice between three before and you got to choose exactly the one you wanted not the one 23 other people wanted! I play a lot of Skirmish and Assault which are the only two modes I've seen in the last two days and I feel bad for the players who like Conquest!

I would rather wait a while longer to play the gamemode I preferred.

I am just going to add my voice to the choir - Please let the game mode be a choice, not a vote - the map vote, yes - I like that.

Skirmish is a game mode that I have no use for. It is a mode that I from time to time play when I am invited into a group, but I never, ever choose to play that game mode because there is little point to play that way for me. I enjoy teamwork, and team play - not chasing down the last hidden and shutdown mech in order to end the game.

Please remove the game mode from the options, or make the system so that a particular game mode shows up no more than 33% of the time, IOW - the game will not allow one game mode to show more than 33% of the time.

Welp, there went my motivation for playing. No Conquest, limited map selection? This is an improvement, how? Oh, wait, I see, I get much shorter queue times, getting me into games modes I don't want to play faster and then get penalized when the game crashes. WOO... not.

This is the worst patch ever: I am unable to play my favorite maps (the hottest ones) since the patch, Please fix it, or there is no incentive for us to play.
You could have just deleted some maps and achieve almost the same result.

Please remove MAP and MODE voting!

I think new map selection is awesome. But it need to be a little bit edited. It would be really nice if each customized 'mech was able to be connected to the exact map, or conditions by the player himself. This would be good for PGI too - it will stimulate players to buy new mechs and customize them for exact conditions. It will have sense for different camouflage schemes and fighting styles. And it will be much closer to the whole mechwarrior universe.

I believe the same could be said to you. You need to learn to play on other maps, and to work with the limits of your mech in different environments. As you said....

Personally I think they should show you the map ahead of time, and let you pick a mech based on that map. That way if you usually like a hot running brawler, and you end up with Tormaline, you can change to a better suited mech. I'd be more likely to have 2 versions of my favorite mechs that way.

Dose PGI even play this game? Why wasn't this on the test server first? I like the 3 maps every one pics,but even that gets boring.

Why do people really say that the map voting is fine? I have not gotten several maps yet, and is this good? Absolutely not. Heat management is what makes this game great, and hotter maps are fun because of that.

It should be 3 maps per vote instead of 4. 4 encourages repetitious votes on particularly popular maps. I was personally getting quite sick of Caustic valley, but eh.

The idea is good. I hope you get some data from it to select those maps you need to do work on them, because those are not that much selcted.

I understand the reasoning behind this patch as a focus on shortening waiting times for everybody plus increasing the freedom of choise. In its basis this is a good line of thought..

However, I experienced this patch as a DECREASE in diversity and an INCREASE in repetitieveness. I do not like that. I personaly like the idea of being a mechpilot that has to cope with less or more preferable circumstances. Not being totaly shure where I have to fight next is part of the fun for me. I like having to deal with thera therma every once in a while.

Therefore here my two cents:
  • If map voting is a must than reduce the map voting options to 2 maps in order to increase selection chance of more maps,
  • Remove the game mode voting and restore the game mode selection,
  • Increase incentive to play different game modes by adding game mode related achievements.
