Well hey, at least the high-mounted ST lasers give it some kind of advantage over the Jager/Firebrand.
Hitboxes look like another problematic case of "Do I want huge side torsos that make XL suicidal" or "Do I want small side torsos that make me die in seconds."

It's prettier.
And there's a potential hero mech (Rifleman II Kataga) with jump jets. Time will tell if that'll be the actual hero mech, but I can't imagine any other Rifleman hero mech that would be more popular. Double gauss and jump jets, baby.

EDIT: I just looked up the Kataga and apparently it's 80 tons. While this is plenty of weight to use jumping twin Gauss, do you really expect PGI to have one variant have a different (superior) weight than its C-Bill counterparts?

Hardpoints should be different. Rifleman's more energy based than Jagermech.
