Hardpoints should be different. Rifleman's more energy based than Jagermech.

Yeah I was hoping for the Phoenix Hawk too. We need that more than we need yet another heavy. Oh well.

The torso shape seems pretty similar to that of a stormcrow actually.. so it might be pretty difficult to kill (with the exception of not blocking side fire with its arms as well). Hopefully that fat part above the cockpit it ct except for near the medium lasers, then the hitboxes would work decently

Maybe some of the recent decisions have something to do with the recent lack of enthusiasm.

Have a feeling PGI has beached a few "whales" lately.

The SCR is faster, more agile, and has Clan XL engines. Rifleman has to use a slow and heavy STD engine or a glass IS XL.

If the Riffles had a Clan XL or at least a LFE, I think it could turn out okay if done well (don't make ST's too huge or too small). Unfortunately it doesn't, so it has to use binary IS STD or XL engines.

Well, sure but you have to pay real money for that. That eventually won't be the case for Rifleman.

Sounds fun until you remember how much tonnage that costs, and how little tonnage a 60 ton mech to play with...

Hmm, the difference between a 65 ton mech and a 60 ton mech is bigger than I would have thought. I think the Jager may be the smallest mech that can carry dual gauss effectively. But what the hell! The dual gauss CTF-3D was not a bed of roses either. You needed 4 jump jets just to hover a few feet off the ground. And the CDA-3M with gauss and ECM was no walk in the park either. But I made it work, dammit.

I'll make this work too.

At least untill I run out of ammo, 5 minutes into the match.

I derped: I just looked it up on Sarna and found that it was 80 tons...that solves the tonnage issue, but then we know for almost a fact that PGI is not gonna just let one variant be vastly heavier (and thus superior) to the C-Bill versions.

Is this a direct response to the forum requests for more pink colors? :P

I also don't see any visible hardpoint differences, is that intended or just not done yet?

Hmph. Oh well. C'est la vie.

The Rifleman will be the Jagermech's younger sister. Prettier, but dumber. And that's right up my alley.

I predict big time sensor quirks on this thing with the upcoming changes.

Once I see the hard points... may have to pick this up, loved it in MW2

I had this toy when I was a wee lad. Looks a bit off to me as others have already said.

Still not buying it though.Posted Image

What exactly makes the Rifleman different form the Jaeger? (leaving quirks aside)
Ah right nothing.. its supposed to be the same mech.

Still looks nice though :)

It has some all-energy variants...

Is it the Legend Killer?!

BTW: the Rifleman concept art is amazing. Best Unseen redesign so far.
