1) Too many heavy Mechs

Sure, they are at different weight points (Maurauder 75, Warhammer 70, Rifleman 60), but they still do nothing for the heavy queues once 2016 comes along. But does that mean that we will get the 65 ton Crusader? I certainly hope so.

2) More Bang for the Buck (vs Mech Packs)

The mech of the month (which this is what it effectively is) provides users with more flexibility. $20 / $30 for a heavy mech is much better than $35 for ala carte under the usual Pack scheme. Shhh. before PGI realises this.

3) Meeting Customer Demands or Milking?

Old timers really want the Unseen. and Customers are willing to pay for it. So even if the Rifleman is supposedly obsoleted by the Jager, our current construction rules allow for any amount of customisation, which means this "effect" is negated.

4) Actual choice.

We have enough mechs to go round at almost every weight point (except for maybe 20 and 40 Tonnes). Other than nostalgia, the choice of mech and hard points should continue to offer variety, instead of being more of the same. For example, We should probably not have the Caeser since we already have the Cataphract. Hopefully, more specialised mechs may be introduced for the sake of variety. For example, the 400 engine capable Exterminator.

RFL-3N, 2xAC10/2xML :)

It is THE build for hot worlds. If we ever see Terra Therma again, it will shine there. And we can take FOUR of them in CW! I like it!

Well... it's... nice, I guess. I mean, the artwork is beautiful, but...

Do we really need another heavy? Really? Right on the heels of two other standalone heavies?

Buy the redundant mechs because you have some attachment to nostalgia. The cockpits all look the same from the inside.

Wtb!

Rifleman II - Known as the Rifleman II, the RFL-3N-2 is an upgrade fielded by the SLDF Royals, adding twenty tons to its overall mass. The Rifleman II uses an Endo Steel structure and an XL Engine, and carries a pair of LB-X Autocannon/10s and Large Pulse Lasers, one in each arm, as well as a pair of Medium Lasers, a Beagle Active Probe, and fourteen Double Heat Sinks. This armament makes the Rifleman II especially effective as an anti-aircraft weapons platform. Only as single known custom variant of the Rifleman II was made,Rifleman II RFL-3N-2 Kataga.[43]. BV (2.0) = 1,543[44]

Looks ok, but that CT is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay huge. Look at how that thing sticks out like a jenner CT or the Shadow Cat.

I dont see this mech being very popular among any nostalgia isnt touching....and according to some of these post the touch is a bad touch. :P

I dont see the need for this mech in game, but then again lots of peep said that about the Urbie too.

When the arms are in the ready position they look like they'll be pretty good shields. The CT isnt as exposed as you might think.

Why the hell do those arms look upside down lol. I think those vents on top should be below the arm.

IF the arms EVER looked like they do on in game models as they do in art id agree with you, But i honeslty dont think they will be much bigger then jager arms.

I see what you mean and we can only hope (i dont care i will not be buying this) for the mechs sake. But i have no hope PGI's modelers will stay tru to that.

PLUS

Dynamic lasers dont have barrels like that...only square pegs to go in round hole.

It's almost as if there's a Jagermech hero variant in MWO that has energy in its arms.

With that logic we should simply remove the idea of adding the Jenner IIC because the hero jenner already can do a few builds it can including it's stocks.
Or not add the firestarter or wolfhound or panther because the jenner can already mostly do most of their builds.
Or not add the warhawk because direwolf can already do it's builds.
Or not add the Marauder because the Orion could do most of it's builds already...

There is a lot of mechs in BT that are similar to another mech but none are identical.

Only the hero jagermech can have energy in the arm but ALL the c-bill rifleman can have energy in the arm-not only just 1 but some will have 2 and maybe one of them will get 3 per arm.

Has a lot going for it than other mechs.

reason for being another heavy coming out is the unseen mechs popularity in order so its probably: marauder, warhammer, rifleman, archer

Why is it so smooth? It looks like it belongs in the company of Hellbringers and Summoners than it does Catapults and Thunderbolts.

Stop making Inner Sphere 'Mechs look like Clan 'Mechs, especially if they are old designs and not new-for-3052+ designs.
