Or not add the firestarter or wolfhound or panther because the jenner can already mostly do most of their builds.
Or not add the warhawk because direwolf can already do it's builds.
Or not add the Marauder because the Orion could do most of it's builds already...
There is a lot of mechs in BT that are similar to another mech but none are identical.
Only the hero jagermech can have energy in the arm but ALL the c-bill rifleman can have energy in the arm-not only just 1 but some will have 2 and maybe one of them will get 3 per arm.
Has a lot going for it than other mechs.
Other then the fact that the Normal Jenner is an IS mech and the Jenner IIC is a clan mech you mean?
Jenner does not have good hit boxes or humnoid figure FS9 Does...
Wolfhound is a bad mech, and yes i agree its a worse Panther...
DWF does not have speed of WHK and cannot do its builds so that is flat out wrong....
Onion is worst IS big boy in the game...so saw the marauder is the same is plain dumb.
I see your point but honestly your examples are extremely off base other then the wolfhound one. And many people bring this up all the time...Why make X mech when Y mech does it better...PGI does not care. They see $$$ and just keep throwing out the next poke mech.

Stop making Inner Sphere 'Mechs look like Clan 'Mechs, especially if they are old designs and not new-for-3052+ designs.
Yeah, i have the same issue with the Marauder and the Warhammer too.
They made them too sleek and streamlined (ESPECIALLY the marauder).
However, these are just the concept arts, the in-game models might look different, due to the way IS mechs are usually textured.

Well, they ARE releasing IS heavies, which are slower and more cumbersome (and have less firepower with worse hitboxes in many cases) than the currently popular Clan ones.

I mean, I think the Marauder is supposed to be that way because it was supposedly a whole new breed of 'Mech that never saw the light of day because Kerensky was a putz and ran away, but the rest don't have any such background. The Ruffles wasn't anything special, it was a bog-standard workhorse.

Don't worry, it's enough that some qquing threads appear in forum and pgi will release the valves to solo que too.
No more 3/3/3/3.
So everybody can pilot heavies only, in the 2-3 maps we have (thanks to vote system).
Who cares?

And the Rifleman is an SLDF mech and the Jagermech isn't, and?
Rifleman has a different hit box than the Jagermech and is easier to hit it's CT from the sides (if not, than it's very easy to hit the ST, either way it's different to the jagermech quite a bit in terms of hitbox in ever way besides arms and legs)
/
Jagermech does not have speed of the Rifleman and cannot do the same builds
/
Why make X mech when Y mech is better? because X mech can do Z things better than X.
Sure, Jagermech has a missile build and is primarily a high ballistics platform.
BUT the Rifleman is faster, slimmer profile, and has majority of the time Energy in the arms instead of Ballistic.
Jagermech does 6 ballistics in the arms . Rifleman does 6 Energy in the arms.
A few traits the Rifleman has drastically different then the Jaggermech. Making a better energy boat and such. also it has superior targeting computer and capabilities of targeting aerial targets in lore thus we can expect mostly range and velocity quirks and in the upcoming quirk changes in the PTS most likely a good sensor range and target gathering.
What else... oh... the few odd variants in timeline could make the mech superior in AC 10 work as well as Large lasers, medium lasers, etc over the jagermech which would does better in AC 2, UAC 5, etc.
The point of my examples is showing how silly the comparison of Jagermech and Rifleman is because these two have just as similarities between them as the Mist lynx and arctic cheetah besides one being obsolete.
Also I never said the Panther and Wolfhound is a bad mech....

once again and for a final time this..........
So we get an under-powered jager.......... sucks,
taken from sarna.....Designed as an anti-aircraft platform and long-range fire support unit, the JagerMech was intended to correct several perceived faults of the original Rifleman Kallon Industries went about reviewing the battlefield performance of the Rifleman and identified three critical flaws: it ran too hot, it was too lightly armored, and it didn't carry enough ammunition

Well i never said you did and i didnt say that either. I said the Wolfhound WAS A WORSE PNT and a bad mech. But i never said you said it...i agreed its was unnecessary mech because it is.
The only reason to release a heavier BJ or a Lighter Jager is for $$$
Also your first line in your rebuttal makes no sense....
Nightshade24, on 05 November 2015 - 11:20 PM, said:
But they are both IS mechs...the Jenner IIC is not an IS mech and will not be used by the IS in CW. So they are not the same at all...one uses clan tech one uses IS tech. I didnt just say that to see the words on my screen...IS cant use Jenner IIC so why was that even worth stating? Is can use normal jenner and they are not using same tech. So how can you even compare them like such? Since the IS one exist the Clan variant should not? huh?
I see you are just arguing for the sake of arguing and im done with that. I also see your point i guess but the execution was horrible.
Good day sir.

Both Jager and Rifleman is a heavier BJ
The only difference is the Jager is the dakka variants while the Rifle is the wub variants. Isn't that enough for good reasoning?
I also quite like the Wolfhound, I can't even think of any particular reason it could be bad...Massive firepower... sleak profile... fastest 35 tonner in game...

We need a community manager posting in the OFFICIAL FORUM news, screenshots, and such.
Maybe because the forums are the most toxic things in any games out there besides the Reddit pages?
Also it wasn't an announcement, it's a subtle hint by change of avatar....
