Give us BACK the CHOICE to choose the gamemodes
I am tired of playing modes I do not like. Also cut down the selection of maps from 4 to lets say 2 (less maps to select increases the chance to also see the maps which are now "gone")
I am TIRED of playing the same maps for 3 or 4 times in a row

though i do agree about the mode selector. that should really be set pre-match, and you vote on the maps. ALL the maps.
honestly, other then the rebalance and re-quirkening, i'm hoping CW phase 3 adds Front Warfare. Clans should not have been able to advance anywhere near as fast to terra as they did. having to take out 8 to 10 planets and THEN advance to the next set would space things out better

Months before the current voting system was implemented i was playing some maps 5-6 times in a row. Other times 8 out of 15 games played, playing only 4 maps total, 1 of which only loaded once.
The problem is majority of players are voting skirmish, the lousiest game mode of the three. This is the game mode which features the most lazy gameplay, if you really paid attention.
In fact, this game mode was created because people were too lazy to walk back and defend their base. If you truely observed, you would notice players are more active and less lazy in assault because they need to defend a base.

Chill the rage people.
One of them is redundant, 20 + 15 = $35 unless you *HAVE* to have every single one. and even then you can spread it out.
Buy the base package this month (for the Early swag bonus) = only $20. Then at some point in the future buy the Hero for $15. *IF* you like them enough when they drop, you can buy the redundant one (if you really must have it) because this will all still be around *after* the mechs drop.
The other albeit minor benefit to it being a "lighter jager" is just in case you have to shave a few tons off the group weight for a drop, you still get the same style of mech...
I don't care about game modes but if I did I would agree with you...

Previous IS mechs were $20 and you'd get a Hero/Founders/Resistance/Invasion/whatever version of 1 variant. With Clans it was $30 which was really pushing the bar already.
Now it's $20 for only 3 regular variants of 1 IS mech, $40 for that plus a single Hero variant - THEN $55 if you want that plus a second Hero.
Bear in mind these prices are all in USD. People from other countries like, in my case Australia, $20 equates to $30, $40 equates to $56, and $55 equates to $80. It's probably worse for other places.
These price changes make me wonder if PGI/MWO is really tanking at the moment. They're indicative of a company in crisis especially since they're targeted at die-hard old-school battletech fans who orgasms at the mention of Unseens coming back. It would probably please the community more to do some sort of kickstarter to raise funds to develop more maps/gamemodes and so on because most of us are getting sick of PokeMech Online
Too make it worse... they are located in Canada so all these sales in USD with our current exchange rates equal like $28...
Being in Canada i cant justify giving a Canadian company US dollars with the current state of the insane exchange rates....Way to milk your own country the most....

That's from 1985! 30 years!
I think the newer generations can't understand how important these mechs are for us, old guys. One year ago how would thought it would be possible to pilot these mechs?
Now bring on the Archer! (and Crusader, and Phoenix Hawk, and Wasp, and Stinger, and Long Bow, and Valkyrie)

I just realized there might be licensing fees to these mechs. That's why they package it like this.

With that in mind, try asking THAT company to give the license for free.
They are still selling Robotech stuff you know.

I'm not saying everyone should or should not go out and buy it. Make your own decision, but don't try to make this some kind of con-job they're pulling. It's different from the resistance packages, yes, but still cheaper than getting heavies in any of those packages b/c you'd have to either buy a la carte or buy the lights and mediums just to get to the heavies, both options are more expensive than $20 + (maybe) $15 Hero.
Again, make you're own choice but don't make it about economics because it's really a mater of perspective.
Okay just looked it up:
If you wanted to buy any Resistance Heavy a la Carte right now: $35
Only 3 mechs(!)
No *unique* Hero mech (just the Resistance skin on the ® Variant)
No Premium Time
Any Clan Wave Heavy: $55
Only 3 Mechs
No Unique hero mech (just the (I) Variant with Wave Skin)
No Premium Time
So if you were looking to JUST purchase some heavies, any of the Unseen packs appear to be a better deal (if you go Base + Hero) than buying Heavy a la carte elsewhere... If you are looking for mass mech aqcuisition, needing mechs of different weight classes, then yes, the bigger bundles offer better deals.

Also scaling whise this means that the rifleman will be as big as the warhammer, but the warhammer is 10 tons heavier. So here you allready have your first balancing problem just because you are lazy

They should have the same legs. See the Robotech miniatures:

BTW, didn't you notice most Clan mechs have shared parts? This is also lore-accurate, not some sneaky way to save developing effort.

because obviously mechs made by the same factory and thus share the same components is being lazy, and not, you know, efficient.
also, like 80% of clan mechs share components. Military hardware shares components for ease of salvage and repair. deal with it.
hell, the Israeli Merkava Tank has a rebuild into an APC. Said APC is also the most heavily armored APC in the world BECAUSE it's made from the same chassis. fact is, other than being lore accurate, it's completely realistic to have Military stuff share common components. (also why rounds like 7.62 and .223 are found and used in most of the world's rifles.)

They were interchangeable in lore so what's the problem

After the last up date i feel the game in just other a month of playing as gone backward and as now just become a replay of the same 4-5 maps at most with the same in the game mode, after playing the same map 5-6 times in a row it makes you want to just leave the game and go do something else.
Sorry but as a new customer i should not be felling like the game as just been put back into beta mode after only a month of play, over that month like i said i have bought the last 2 pre orders as well as dropping over £100 in MC purchases, yet i feel cheated.
Good luck with the game which by the way is fantastic but badly implemented and is a shame

Heavies are my least favorite class, partly due to the queue times. But yeah if you are new:
Don't invest in heroes...yet (wait for sales)
Premium time to make cbills to buy mechs
