Maybe with ACH you should get "death star" achievement...

I dunno man. Locust 1E is extremely good mech when you play it right. "Did it with locust lel" doesn't really count when you talk about a 25 tonner that has the firepower of a heavy and very good mobility.

The real star of the show is how few earnings you received for that.

*20 tonner

And heavy-mech firepower? It's a 24-point alpha with 149m optimal range. That must be a really crappy heavy...

Meta Timberwolves come with something like a minimum of a 40 pt alpha (2LPL+Gauss) topping close to 50 pts (5ML+Gauss).

Thunderwub (which will RIP soon) has a 42 pt alpha.

24 point non-pinpoint-FLD alpha kinda tickles.

Congratulations and welcome to the club! Don't get too smug, though; I earned it with the 3M back when SPL were 90 (or was it 100?) meters and Clan Wave I was still in pre-order. :P

Yes, Yes... but a 24 point alpha x3 by the time my Locust flies back and forth, around and back is not a little tickle at all, its a 48-62pt 12 second spread alpha. I love seeing components flying off unsuspecting mechs. :D

Good job! I think the most kills I've ever snagged with a Locust was six or seven; never quite got the eight with it.

I did get my Ace of Spades with an Enforcer though. That was a truly epic match.

I should allow my Dire to ram it's arms elbow deep up a locusts *ss and use it as a weapon. Might make the Dire viable again. Could strap a Cheeto to my CT and I could solo a direct hit from a nuke no probs at all. Ooh the possibilities.

Similar thing tends to happen to a locust when I hit it with a double tap of 4CUAC10's.

This is just proof of what I've been saying for years, give a Mech the right pilot, and it is a terror, give it an idiot, and it is a joke.

Proof? No. Causality perhaps. Individual mechs do make a profound difference. There is likely to be some over lap where a good pilot in a bad chassis will beat a bad pilot in a good chassis, but a good pilot in a bad chassis is going to have a hard time against a good pilot in a good chassis.
Simply putting a good pilot in any given mech is not an automatic "terror".

I believe the key words you used is "when I hit it" funny thing is that most mechs tend to fall apart with a double tap of 4CAC10's if hit in the right spot. Please proceed Sir. :P ;)

It wasn't easy. I was having the normal matches of maybe 200-300 damage then hit a lucky streak getting more damage and kills so I stayed in the mech instead of switching mechs. Most matches end in the normal i'm-leged-now-dead or one-shoted from a dual ac 20 or guass.

Well, sort of. I hit a lot of mechs with said double tap, and often they manage to spread the damage to the point where they're still fully operational and shooting right back. Keep in mind that a double tap of quad UAC10's results in 24 individual ballistic rounds in the air doing 3.33 damage each. Very rarely do they all hit the same spot.

I am fully aware of how clan AC's work... and I have charged several dire whales in my Locust and lived to tell the tail. I haven't got the ace of spades in my Locust yet, but I have had a few 5-7 kill matches in them. If I ever start playing this game like I used to a year ago, maybe I will be back up to your tier and put your clan ac's to the test.

I find I don't twist to much when dealing with clan AC's, I simply out run them. :D
