Also, streaks are practically worthless against anything over 50 tons.
I want to see IS versions of SSRM4 and 6 come out. That way IS will be able to bring back out the Catapult A1, and actually scare a light or two away.

The Inner Sphere don't get an Equivalent weapon for quite some time. We do not need them right now.
Also a paying customer.
So which of us should PGI listen to?

agree, +1. PGI should've left the cooldown to 6 seconds at least. Make the missiles slower in speed or increase recycle time and reduce the range. Requires no skill at this point....

They need to home in on the location where you're aiming the reticule to eliminate all of those issues above, due to raising the skill floor while also making them able to allocate their damage where you want/need it to go. After that, THEN we can start to play with things like range/spread/cooldown/heat/etc.

try "not aiming" SSRMs at the light running circles around you and let us know how it works out.
The difference is that normal guns require you to point at a specific hitbox in order to hit that hitbox. For example, a Medium Laser will only hit the center torso if you actually point it (and hold it over) at the center torso.
For Streaks, you only need to keep your reticule over a very large general area on the mech. If you point at the arm, head, or leg, or whatever else, there is no difference when you're using SSRMs. You just need to be able to keep at least one random pixel of their body in your crosshair.

Since they have shorter range and smaller volleys they could have more damage per missile for example, or less spread, significantly shorter cooldown, more speed or something else. Doesn't matter how, but they should be as good as the clan versions ton for ton.
