These should be on Sarna.

These should also be in-game.

And the CBT books... and well, pretty much everywhere. These are great.

Do companies/lances have their own insignia as well? If so I would like to commission you...

Haha, I actually wanted to post on Sarna, but after the Fanon purges there, I'm not allowed to. That is because these are created by me and not copied from directly from source material. And I'd love it if they were in-game, but we'll just have to see about that...

At the moment, I'm going through "major" house units and Mercenary companies. As I mentioned up front, I do requests. I need it to be highly-detailed though; I want to make sure I give you what you want.

Anyway, thanks for looking through. Are there any in particular you like?

EDIT: Rasalhague Regulars - This unit was disbanded after the foundation of the FRR. For the duration of its existence, the unit suffered from poor cohesion and suffered from back-biting from within the combine. Rasalhague District. 2011-12-04

She's so purty! Good memories from fighting under that insignia (before we became the 9th Sword anyway).

I have no talent whatsoever for graphic design so I come with a request for an idea that's been floating in my head. The FRR has an insignia for the 3rd Drakons but I'd like to see what their other units would have.

I was thinking for the 4th Drakons something with crossed battle-axes over a round shield set against the shield background of the FRR logo. Does that makes sense?

Blue background, round shield, crossed axes? Did I get your thoughts right?

There is also the broken chains of the 2nd Freemen:

The ghosty eyes of the 2nd Kavalleri:

And the randomness that is the 4th Kavalleri:

The problem is, and I just realized this with the 3rd's insignia, I can't find any DATES for when they were adopted. I've been able to trace the silver fox/memmingen to post 3051, since Memmingen was a battle fought against Clan Wolf in that year. Thus, I have in a request to Hayden to try to come up with something for Pre-3050. I figure we still had something honoring the Silver Fox (Haakon Magnusson, first Elected Prince of FRR). I don't know if any of these units were listed in the 20 Year Update with insignia or not, haven't gotten a copy of that book yet.

Yes, that's it exactly.

There aren't any insignia listed in the Update, it has the commanders, locations, and status/loyalty rankings for all the units and mercs under contract in 3050.

If I had to say one appeals to me more.... well Lyran Regulars looks great but... the Black Hearts insignia has something about it. Deep burgundy with that contrasting white and pale blue - its really nice. Kinda reminds me of all those English soccer teams like West Ham and Aston Villa.

Ignore the simple nature of it, just trying to mock up the concept for you...

Or, were you thinking a much smaller/realistic shield/targe, instead of a more heraldic "shield"?
More like so?

The second one, more like a wooden targe with the metal boss and the axes larger than the shield just like you have it.

Page 6 Marik (continued)

Ok, I mis-keyed while typing out explanations for things, and closed the browers soooo... now you'll get the abridged version.

Alright, page 7 will feature a faction very close to my heart: the scrappy little St. Ives Compact. At the moment there are no plans to include the SIC in the game (atleast as a "playable" power) but I'm hoping the devs change their minds.

St. Ives Cheveau lancers Insignia - I changed this from a rectangle to a circle. 2011-12-08

Justinia's Cuirassiers - Conjectural, based off text description.
Posted Image
Roman's Mounted Fusiliers - I took a lot of liberties with this one. Formerly depicting a bear lunging at the viewer. Colors conjectural. 2011-12-08

And now the filler...

Gray Death Legion, by request. 2011-12-08

Thank you for the insignias, they are inspiring.
Now, if you excuse me, I have to suspiciously watch this thread in regards to the absence of great Lyran designs which are not mercenary units.
Just kidding, take care and thanks again.

I'm working on a big series for the Donegal Guards. Does that make it better? :)

*Watches suspiciously* Sure sure, go right ahead Mr. Hayden, don't let me detain you.

I allways loved the insigniae of the units, it started back when the first housebooks where released. So seeing them in this new rendition warms my geeky heart. So whatever you like to do, be it Kurita snakes or loyal Steiner units, just do it as long as you have fun.
I like them all, especialy the clean line art and crisp shapes.

Take care
Daniel
