Actually Dodger/Nuesse there is a plethora of informational video's showing break downs of weight classes, the mech lab, some raw game play, and oodles upon oodles of developer posts telling us about the game. Not to mention many interviews on other websites with various gamer mags about some of the aspects of the game. The information is there, you just gotta look for it.
Well, as far as i am concerned i wouldn't call 22 videos, where roughly a third of it are just teasers/trailers and only 7 or 8 are actual gameplay, a "plethora".
Just to pick a point, where some say "hey, that's great and more than worth to spend your money for!" but some are asking for the actual benefit of it:
As a founder you get ingame-money. Great! But who knows what you can do with it? Can you only buy ingame-items? Or can you pay for further premium-months? What is it actually worth? How much money will be needed to keep let's say a lance of Mechs running? Can you earn enough through playing to repair and refit? Do you need the 25%-bonus of the founder Mechs to keep your Mech running without handing over more real money? A lot of questions it they concern one of the selling points of an up to 120$-bundle...
I was and am willing to spend the money without that being answered. But let's face it, you can't demand this quite immature, sort of fanboyish behaviour from everybody. From a strict customer's point of view, the information policy is poor, very poor indeed and Piranha Games is not the world's leading devteam as long as AAA-titles for PC are concerned. I have trust in this project, but mainly because of the participation of Jordan Weisman/Smith & Tinker and Russ' dedication to the franchise, not because previous Piranha-products were espcially good (and none of them was f2p or strictly multiplayer at least)...
