Love the change to the cumulative match scores. Was planning on blowing this one off, but now the personal challenge is reasonable i will likely be playing some games this weekend.

Totally agree, cumulative scores is the way to go. That is what makes challenges reasonable for players with job and family - so excellent job PGI and keep it up :)

Tukayyid is WAY TOO SMALL for this event.
Again.

Clan-Queue: 10 drops
IS-Queue: 26 drops waiting

Tukayyid: completely full of fighting people

booooooring

If 240 is our limit, so shall it be! Bring it on!
Clans are still 250 tonns limit? If so, very wierd decision..really WIERD..
(or was they 240 all the time? Posted Image . still wierd, we are far from fair balance, with extraordinary pieces rise from both sides)

IS got the bump to 250 ton a month or so ago, can not remember exactly. Clans are still at 240 and have been holding steady there.

Thank you,
Fulgar

IS was dropped to 240 for this event. 2 hours in and Tuk is already at 71% attacker wins. Way to go PGI!

It is at 63%. What map are YOU looking at? Never mind, it jumps around more than I thought.

Tonnage won't matter, clan vs IS will be a minor issue. The battle will be won by the team with the higher proportion of well organized groups.

8 teams are all that matters. If one side fields 8 high tier teams, and has them rotating to keep it out of ghost drops, they can win the whole thing.

events like this just highlight the disparity between those who drop in organised groups and those who don't.

I couldn't agree more, but even pug groups can bring gratification if they are helped. This event is the perfect time for units to bolster their ranks. If quality drop commanders jump in and lead the pug groups, they will notice more success, whether it is through a win or a better match score. Don't count the pugs out they just need constructive guidance. Not the usual slew of insults.

In other words treat the pugs on your team with respect, and the good ones might join up with our units.

Good event, great rewards, and a lot of fun. In the future, something might need to be done about balancing skill disparity among factions. Most of the top units are on clan side right now.

Got strange feelings about that event - while its good to have some events, CW was and is unbalanced. So im happy with event and unhappy with cw :) Please fix cw-gamemode before make cw-based events next time!

P.S. Dreaming about 4-4 cw...

Its unbalanced for a few reasons but counter attacking is a bit harder then attacking.

Last minute drop deck tonnage changes ***** players over. Period. I remember the last time (with time to prep no less) there was a change, it cost me about 14+ real bucks to quickly purchase some mechs to recreate a decent drop deck. With the increase it wasn't an issue later, but still, cost me for a last minute scramble.

Doing it again with that short of notice? I sympathize with the folks who bought packs for CW (hell, it's why I bought my original first pack purchase for the game) like R2, only to have the rug pulled out from under them and feel screwed into having to make a last minute purchase to play the event... or just not play.

Outside of the coordinated 12 man drops last time, I did quite a lot of solo-drops with outright green pugs who, go figure, wanted to play the new game mode, give the big event a whirl to see what it's like, enjoy the new maps and otherwise feel like they weren't a maligned part of the MWO community, stomps regardless.

Go figure, folks want to just play the game instead of feeling like they are paywalled or skill walled from outright using a game feature, warnings aside (and there was none last time until they were in a match and someone experienced gave them a heads up and tried to help them along).

Typical lack of foresight and lack of PGI honesty; last time it seemed more like a server stress test than a legitimate event, and having the best win to loss ratio meant -nothing- vs unit numbers.

This time, Ii you're going to use an event to test rebalance issues, tonnage balances and similar, give folks a heads up earlier so they can decide if it's worthwhile or not instead of masking it under a BS event facade. Seriously. Changing the tonnage that fast outright leaves even many established players in a mad dash to rebuild drop decks, nevermind new players who are starting to get into it, only to have that crap pulled.

Last time you alienated so many players (and not just pugs) it left CW a near wasteland. You're not doing much better now.

Moebius Pi, if you or any other player is playing CW before they own 4 mechs, which doesn't take long, you're too new to the game to do any good no matter what you bring to the table. I highly doubt many people are paying cash for mechs just to play CW, that sounds crazy, so I don't see how this event is a cash grab at all. To also talk bad of a simple 10 ton change in our decks is conspiracy tier stuff. It's relatively easy to ton down or up, nor is it necessary to ton up, use trials if you have to.
