Is now has cooler running lasers.
Is now has a huge edge with ballistics, including Gauss.
Is has many mechs that can outrange Clan lasers.
Is has a crapload more hitpoints on structure quirked mechs.
ECM is nerfed hard, so LRM's are much more effective + Quirked like mad.
The tables have turned.

I'm inferring this from, the most uneven battles were when my PUG faced a 6-man or a 12-man group, or when my pug basically did not communicate at all - or simply did not listen to what was communicated.
Balance overall felt decent, felt like Clans had the edge in maneuver and range, IS had the edge in brawls.
Probably the largest problem I felt with the CW matches was the way it took (on average), 11 minutes from clicking 'Defend' to dropping, for an (average) 23 minute battle. 11 minute wait for a 23 minute battle... is there ANY game out there that does this?

the clan puggers went home for the day, and the IS groups are crashing against the remaining big clan unit groups, which of course get to drop non stop as there is 10+ defenders in IS side and no groups in queue on clan attack side.
IMO, the balance is fine, when the population was giant this afternoon(like 20+ attack and 40+ in defend queue, standing in line just to drop) it was tug o war at 50%, but the matches were also a lot more pug vs pug etc, because there were enough players on to change the odds of running into one of the 12 mans.
I hope Russ can see that, and doesnt just look at a result dictated from the last hour of the event when nobody in online anyway.

Man, you're lucky. Out of 20 games I played this weekend, I have been against PUG at most 3 times, once when I was dropped with an 11man premade.
The game is hell bent on giving premades advantage by putting them against PUG.

So far it's been in favour for the IS around that time, and swinging towards the clans later on.
