According to Russ' tweets we are getting a Catapult rescale starting this month, but I have no idea how long it will take.

Jesus Box null when TAG on CT. Will be a better hill humping LRM launcher than the Cata that is for sure.

Gotta see the feet before I buy though... if Alex stuck dinky lil ballerina feet on it..... no sale! Archer gotta have clown shoes!!!

I'd take a Kell hound's Hero mech. Was just thinking because the Wolf's Dragoons have that particular variant that they themselves produced.

Now that is a fine looking Archer. Can't wait to see the rest.

Time to buy stock in LRM manufacturers ...

This looks like a Dragon redux.

Maybe the high mounted energy hardpoints is its savior.

Edit: It also kinda looks like the combination of a Dragon+Maddog.

with Sad Cat arms.

MOVE CATAPULTS, GET OUT THE WAY. GET OUT THE WAY YO, GET OUT THE WAY!

Archer will be my new darling. Those abundant launchers on top of abundant energy points for back up. The high mount TAG slot. The 5 more tons I can cram LRMs with. Yes please.

I am not gonna brawl in the Archer. With its high mounted missiles and energy slots, I don't need no JJs.

I've always had a soft spot (Or would that be a hard spot?) for the Archer...

Meh... I might as well resign I'm attracted to all sub-par mechs!! Posted Image

FWL can finally have their classic support lance of an Archer, 2 trebs and a centurion... not that it works in this game, but it is possible lol.

Archer is my jam, not because of LRMs in this game but mostly because I just like the idea of it. Some folks like the rifleman, but I'm all about dat Archer

The question I have to ask is.... will it have the bay doors! IT MUST HAVE THE BAY DOORS!
Because you'll notice that, with the exception of the Catapult (and maybe the Stalker...?), every mech that has been "standardized" has had it's bay doors removed for dinky little box launchers.
I can see it now, the Archer just having open racks like the Maddog.

Archer. The mech you can stare at a wall with, TAG someone through the war, and massage said someone with love rockets.. :D

Sadly, at 70 tons vs. my current 75 ton Orion LRM boat, I have to look and think carefully at the weapon mounts and quirks before committing to this purchase.

it's kind of a shame Alex couldn't keep the big battlefists... but that was probably one of the distinguishers they had to avoid to not be HG LAwsuit bait. Just hoping it don't have tiny feet, too.....

well, with STD engines, you only get a 1.5 ton advantage over the 70 tonner with the Orion. Counting structure, maybe a 1 ton adv. Suppose the question is....would that 1 ton be worth not having the high mounted TAG?

Mind you, with XLs, you free up another 1.5 tons.... but then you leave your squishy STs as tempting bait for a Medium Mech jock like myself who loves nothing more than cornering LRM boats.....
