1. IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad (and 1946)
Now, what games do you play?
The original IL-2 game and its subsequent expansions were absolutely brilliant. I'm actually thinking about repurchasing them all through Steam since I can't find my old CDs for them. I loved that game with a deep, burning passion. It was the first game in which I became an active member of a forum community, and the people there were passionate and very welcoming. It was like a family there. The game play was exceptional; by far the best WWII era flight simulator ever created. The new ones are very...limited in comparison. Maybe they're better now, but the campaign was dull when I played it. I also had a lot of difficulty setting up the controls and I couldn't get my stuff set up like I wanted and how I used for the original. Very clunky interface.
Currently I play:
1. Attila Total War and it's expansions (the modding community for this game is incredible - and I'm a great lover of the Total War franchise, even when they muck it all up and the community comes to the rescue)
2. Star Wars the Old Republic - An absolutely BRILLIANT RPG, with perhaps the best story lines I've ever played.
3. Just Cause 3 - A buddy of mine bought it for me. I was very skeptical at first, but it's quite enjoyable.
4. Shadowrun Hong Kong - Excellent game by Hairbrained Schemes (makers of the upcoming BattleTech game which I wish I could have backed).
Most of my time is spent in MWO or the top two of my list. I have over a thousand hours in Attila, and well over a thousand in Rome 2 (which I haven't touched since Attila came out). SWTOR when I'm feeling it. I tend to get sucked in hard, though, and can't always afford to subscribe.
Edit: I loved Witcher 3 but for some reason put it down and haven't picked it back up. This saddens me because it is an excellent game. Really looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077...
