I was just trying to point out why it doesnt matter what mech they want or vote for. its fun to play a game for a bit and let stuff slide for awhile. But now I think its time to get a little bit more for the money. I want to play a game that carries the tag "a thinking mans shooter" as it is claimed. Right now were all playing a version called Meta Warrior Online where we dont think about anything. NO team work. NO comms, No problem. I take it you dont want to play a better game and are perfectly happy.
If you want the items listed in your post you have to push sometimes and not settle.
I don't know what are you playing, but I do think, use team work and comms.
- Am I happy with the game? Yes, I am! I wouldn't be playing it every week and following the forums every day for almost 4 years if I wasn't.
- Mistakes were made? Yes, for sure.
- Could the game be improved? Of course! It is improving, one patch at a time.
- Could it improve faster? Maybe... PGI is a small company - to sustain itself in this F2P system, it needs to run lean, with a small team. And I'm thankful for that! It means PGI can work in MWO for many years.
What people expect is a huge game done at once, but that PGI can't do. Mechwarrior is a very niche game. You can't spend hundreds of millions in manpower developing a niche game. So I'm thankful PGI is so respecting to the lore instead of making a Mech Assault Online for the masses (and ditching it after one year for another recycled installment).
You guys need to see what the game is and not what the game could be. And MWO is a very good game already, very honest with an IP many people here love for decades.
