I'm saying this with genuine <3 here Khereg, please don't feel I'm attacking you but...
F**king stop it. Just stop. Go no further in that line of thinking. The moment you start thinking and feeling that you are any better or deserve special treatment compared to every other schlub in the game you start the transformation into entitled toxic self-important aholes.
Which isn't who you are. If MS is just another group of players like every other playing the same game in the same pool it's a good thing. We're all simpatico and while there's always salt over a big group or a successful group it's all good.
<3 you too, bro, but -MS-didn't demand special treatment, nor do I think we're entitled to it. We just offered to help fix an issue with CW and Russ went for it. I really truly believe if another unit with the ability to do what we can do in CW had made the offer, Russ would have accepted it in place of us. I guess that does make us "special" in the sense that we have enough impact in CW to affect the map, which, you're right, not everybody can do.
But we aren't out looking for favors. We just thought we'd make an offer to help - and yes, get more and faster fights for ourselves (and others) in the process. I was actually in the meeting where the decision was made (just listening) and I can tell you there was about 5 seconds of thought put into it. None of us imagined this would blow up the way it has. After finalizing the vote options for our next contract, someone half-jokingly suggested we could make an immediate switch to help balance population, Tony said he'd tweet Russ, and when I logged on the next day we were Smoke Jag. That's it. It was literally an afterthought.
I get why people think we got special treatment and I won't try to change their minds. The only question I asked was what people would have done if they were in Russ' shoes, with a CW population out of balance, and an easy proposed fix staring them in the face. Personally, I probably would have done the same thing he did. Others will feel differently. C'est la vie.
