i run this build quite successfully, though it requires a very large amount of situational awareness to utilize and get those 1000+ damage scores. Gotta use the jumpjets to get to the weird flanks.

A fairly decent mix of weapons. Using 2 streaks vs 3 allows you to be more independent when running out of ammo if you last that long / having both arms blown off eventually leaving at least a medium laser if your right side doesn't get destroyed.

SHC-PRIME
Or...
UAC5 (2.5 tons) / LPL / ECM
SHC-PRIME
Both are fun, have enough ammo for some staying power, and do well supporting bigger teammates. The first one is happy around 300-500m, while the second reaches a little further and is very easy heat management-wise. Easy to overheat a Shadow Cat if you use the jump jets a lot and have a hotter build. Few weapon groups as well, which is great for newer players.
Really looking forward to MASC and TC getting a boost, I often shave a little tonnage to cram one extra DHS or TC1 into these builds. DPS isn't the best, but hey they're Shadow Cats

18 cSRMs and 2x cMPLs. It punches well out of its weight class, and carries ECM to help the new player out. It's got full armor, somewhat front weighted without being rear stripped, and has ammo distributed so that losing one side or the other won't automatically cripple your missiles, relying on integrated cCASE to protect against explosions, which are going to be rare anyway.

Requiring a Smurfy build really limits the creative process. You can't remove, add, or change any hard points. We need an alternate method.

Champions are made up of regular omnipods and equipment. No special quirks or anything, just a Champion variant in the store (30% XP bonus) and availability as a Trial mech.
I almost forgot to say thanks to Tina for listening to feedback and making new Clan champs to go alongside the IS champs (well I did, but then I remembered)

2 LRM 15 Not art with 1260 rounds, 2 er-ml.
Recommended it to a clanmate, he seems to love it too for solo drops or team play. An invisible missile boat who cant rain for days from the most inconvenient spots possible

This Build takes advantage of the MASC, considering the Reverse throttle can quickly get you out of a bad corner and circling enemies with MASC on/off to trick their alpha predictions. effective to Punch the enemies until their armor is exposed and pressure the machine guns until the cool downs are back up.
This does okay for long range engagements (ER PPC, ECM)
Does a very well job chasing pesky lights, especially with speed tweak and counter ECM
not like you were planning to trade hits with king crabs. Just Strike, vanish, and if the opportunity calls for it, Pounce
