...actually I kinda feel a twinge of remorse for the kids crawling on the Mad Cat mockup.
To have a (most likely) dad that dedicated to his games/hobbies prolly doesn't... ahh never mind

at least they look hap...

I wonder how many more hilarious "A Hurr Durr Blown Up Timby" comments this thread is going to get.

I personally think it should be straight up original, no redesign.

I like the rendition shown on this page : http://mwomercs.com/...r-wolf-tribute/

I really like this version quite alot, after starring at it for a good ten minutes. (Wasn't really sure about it until then.)

Although, I love the classical look of the timberwolf in the miniatures. Whatever the case, I'm sure the artist will do it justice ... or :P Justice will be served

I love the "We must protect the engine!!! Put fleshy meat shield in front of it please!" design philosophy shown by that cutaway.

You can tell there is child cruelty going on there! They're crawling on the quintessential omnimech... with ComStar emblems on it.

p.s. Love the cutaway.

I'm personally partial to the old BTech design..but that's also the one I've known the longest so...

But..and this kinda puzzles the hell out of me..why does it matter?

MWO is prior to the Clan Invasion, we'll not be seeing any Timberwolves for a while, so why does their appearance really matter? MWO's poster child Mech will be something from the IS, probably the venerable Atlas, another design I'm partial to, due to who designed it..the Great Aleksandr Kerensky himself :)

And I was thinking, "well, if that big thing with the hexagons is the ammo bin container for the LRM launchers and machine guns (as it looks like the illustration for CASE)... where is the reactor?" :)

(Perhaps it's the dark object to the right (left side in the picture) of the "ammo bin container"?)

Hey Armageddon ... that is on the map Palace Gates!!! I started that map for the MWLL Mod when I was on the team. But the team has not finished it yet, since I left. Maybe the MWLL community will see it in the future.

Wolves have been around since the mid 2900's, right? And since this won't be canonical BTech lore in the strictest sense, I don't think it's beyond belief to expect to see the chassis in the initial stages of the game.

That's just my 2 c-bills.

Not meaning to call you out, but in case others missed this...
MWO date is currently December 3048
Clan invasion starts in 3049

We.... weren't really talking about MWO, per se... we were just discussing a facet of the hobby... y'know?

It seems like if anything "big" is going to change, it's going to have to do with that massive "green house" the Mad Cat uses for a cockpit, since every other 'mech has seen a reduction in the amount of glass on the cockpit.
