I've never seen a single one of my PPCs go though a mech. I may shoot under it's arms / through legs. They may converge right in-front instead of on of my target causing a miss. Or a PPC might miss when you are firing groups of them because they were set to converge at infinity as you lead a target at say, 500m with nothing behind him. Ret is at infinity, not the target. Slow projectile + long range = no bueno. Very bad for convergence especially if your target is moving laterally.
Aside for that hit reg seems about the same as most other weapons for me. Just more noticeable on PPCs cuz it's very costly when you miss or it doesn't deliver.

If PPC hitreg truly is this bad.
Why do Direstars get kills?

A couple seconds later I was lrm'ed and gunned down because I was literally not moving and staring at this dumb mech who wouldn't die.
I hate their hit-reg, I hate their visual fx. they need a complete rework from ground up, or some kind of forensic investigation.

Edit: This is not typical though. I can't say I've noticed a change in hitreg either way.

ghost heat on ppcs is atrocious, even the not ghost heat is pretty bad. idk why anyone would want to alpha them.
bad collision detection is still bad though. i have a hunch that its bailing from a loop too early (before it can process other collisions that were supposed to take place), and as a result sometimes weapons just dont work.
damn it, the voices in my head are arguing again.

Nope, it was a clean miss. Play it back at 0.25 speed and you can see that while the torso reticule was on center, your unbound reticule shifted a few pixels to the left (around summoner's hip area) when you pulled that trigger. There was a fraction of second between when you pull the trigger and when your floating reticule center back to the torso reticule.
This is the reason why there are so many PPC hit reg posts - human eye can't pick out such tiny details so we blame the scapegoat. Even at quarter speed, I had to watch it twice to spot the detail so imagine this in a game.

In that video clip, it looks like you missed. Your arm was just a hair off-target and you shot the cliff-side in front of the RFL.

I think he knows how the unbound reticule works. It's just that the miss was so close that it's more believable to think it's a hit reg issue than a clean miss. Same goes with 90% of PPC hit reg 'issues' we hear about I wager.
This is the first video 'evidence' that I can recall and sure enough, it's NOT hit reg's fault.
