I've bought the ACH pack (Stupid move, because its cheap on cbills), Dire wolf ala-carte, TBR-A, and the new Kodiak pack using real money. Spent heaps of MCs buying 1 TBR,2 SCRs, 1 KGC, plus heaps of skins and colours.

What have you guys bought?

I only buy things that one, I can only get with real money, and two, that are functionally equivalent to what I can get for cbills. So paint, camo, and the occasional cbill bonus mech. If PGI ever releases hero loadouts for cbills without the skin, I'll buy a couple of the heroes for MC, but that's doubtful to happen.

So there is a lot of data out there. If MWO achieves 80% it will be the best FTP out there by a long shot. Way better than LoL and many times better than WoT.

Previous estimates have been around 35000 players with 4-5k concurrent before Steam. So just for giggles let's use 35k.

During the Rifleman leaderboard event approximately 2400 players participated in the 3N chassis. Again just for the heck of it let's say that was 80% of the people who bought it. That would come out to 3000 sold.

35000 divided by 3000 is about 8.6% just for that package. Yes there could be people that buy the Archer or the Kodiak but not the Rifleman. There could be others that buy MC or Steam packs but nothing else. or ones that play and used to purchase but no longer do, like me. But it would take many of these transactions to hit that 80%.

The standard industry measure is how well a game monetizes the player base. That would be more fun to figure out.

Mastery packs are still the best deal going in MWO. Good purchase.

welli am not a regular spender anymore...

i had bought some mechs from clan wave 1 ... then bought the warhammer .. nothing in between that i can remember...

now i may spend on the kodiak...

its not that i dont have the money its just that i see MWO as a game which ads more mechs than content (i.e. maps and game modes) so that is why i am not inclined towards spending

I have spent well over $500 now, but if you think about it over 3 years that I have played it is about the same I would have spent on an MWO with a $15 monthly subscription.

So I've spent a cool $555 on this game. Over the course of 4 years. Less than I would have spent on WoW over the same time period.....and did spend at least on parts of that period. FOR THE HORDE!

To support MWO/Battletech I'm happy to do so. I'm 'interested' in a lot of things but I'm passionate about few. This is one of those.

My kid got me into magic cards - that hurt real bad. He calls and we have a great time together, so I can not complain. God bless the 101st.
